2 sound(cards) in same system?

I've acquired one of these:

M-AUDIO - Delta 66 - Professional 6-In/6-Out Audio Card with Digital I/O

Is it possible to run two sound chips/cards in the same system? My motherboard has onboard sound.

Or will that card play games without any issues?

Shouldn't be a problem, if need be turn your onboard sound off in bios.

I have had 2 soundcards running for a while.

it wont have on the fly dts encoding but the DACS will be better than any onboard crap you get or than most creative guff. Its for sampling analogue sources and running a small sound studio on your PC. I have a similar card and its not that great for gaming due to the surround sound issue - I use my onboard for that.
