2 questions: shaman spec and pve guilds :P

I originally created a buffbot, but find that I have more fun playing it than I do my main :p So I'm now wondering if any level 50 shaman out there would be kind enough to post their spec for me to look at, do I need end regen 5 or is 4 enough - and how much fun is Cave magic in rvr? :)

Also any guilds need a shaman? preferably non-kiddie guilds, I'm 28 and don't want to talk about the teletubbies and Fimbles unless I'm drunk.. :p

HEllo there, My spec is 13/42/31 MAC

It works very well, no more the annoying "all have LW1?" question. Gives you a decent AE root, + pbae disease

Another option would be to go 10mend and 43 Aug for the heat resistance, I got heat 51% now allready so why bother.

I dropped my mend from 22 to 13 and there isnt a considerable difference.

I have to admit I'd be a bit worried about having no cure poison/disease on a shaman. Although I guess most of the time people have DOTs on them it's game over soon enough anyway :p

39 cave,37 aug is the way to go for non-buffbots and if your planning on joining a rvr guild most should have LW1 anyway(pick up are a different story) :)

My shaman is aiming for 38aug, 9 mend, 37 cave.. I do think it's OK, since you get the last yellow resistances, and you get second to last insta disease, and cures.. :)

And end regen 4 is good enough, since LW1 is only 1 point, something everyone should consider taking on, since there are few shamans running around with end5..

Not saying there are no one, but few. :)

if you are planning on playing RvR on a high level (meaning waiting for players to form the best possible setup for a group) than the given RvR spec is probably the best as those groups will have buffbots anyway.
However if you plan to play RvR with pickup groups or PvE alot than getting cure disease/poison might be a really smart move. For both I would probably go high aug and then cave for RvR or mending for PvE. It really depends on what you want to do.

Also dont forget that getting a single respec stone is possible if you dont mind farming some money or going on several TG raids. So you have the option to try a weird spec and then later respec it if you dont like it :).

just ignore that.
If you gonna rvr, u got 3 healers with you that all have it.
If youre gona roleplay and farm cash might be good.
especially in dodens :m00:

Now this is an interesting discussion imo. I have been looking at different shammy specs for a while. I am pondering to create an RvR shammy, sometime in the future at least. I was thinking of going 38 aug 37 cave 9 mend. 38 aug for second tier resist buffs, end 4 and some backup buffs that don't suck too much. 37 cave for second pbae disease shout, second aoe root, pretty good variance on dot's and ok dd/bolt.
Is the aoe root on 39 cave more worth it than the matter resist buff at 38 aug? It's a 10 sec duration increase, and most likely it get's resisted less because it is higher lvl VS 8 more resist in matter which is mostly cabby dot's and suchlike spells.
4 mend seems very low as well but my attitude for RvR is that the shammy just isn't there for healing so it sort of works for me
Gonna ponder these things, would love some input.

Got to admit Shatar your template is probably the one I like best, seems fairly versatile and still has the cure poison/disease that I think I'd always like to have for pesky DOTs at keep defense and attack.:p
