Hiho

Nice post Vantros, we will surely join some guild at one point, but before we do that we wanna learn how to play our toons, not just get everything handed on a plate... dont learn from that.

Right now we are level 8 all, and lol... we die pretty often, that focus shield thingie is not so easy when i have to control the druid heals + the pet.

Isnt there some macro i can make that targets pet and heals? I figured out how to do /macro xxx /target xxx... But i cannot do that with the pet.
Not that big of a deal, but just annoying when i have to run 2 meters to the other PC to heal whatever toon needs it... i fail often :p

Today we are going to level at that camp where the monsters fight each other, hobgoblins & badgers i think... hope we can learn how to get 2 reds down every pull... or do people know better spot for 8-12?

Sorry bout all the spam, but hey, we are here to learn, andy tips are welcome :p

Thanks again all, and nice going yesterday, i kept seeing "Forces of Hibernia have conquered XXX" ;)

To target the pet you can try targeting it with chanter (easier with pet window etc) then with druid do /assist <name of chanter>
Not much easier but it could help :)

Little update :p

We are only level 14 now... and damn... we use HOURS trying to find a proper camp... it is just impossible.

If anyone have some map/guides with places to level.... please share!

We are so frustrated :p

Kirstena's Atlas - probably one of the best sites for the original world, despite it hasn't been updated for ages.
Also, Grania's Glade has alot of maps for a quick overview (there's an interactive map for Hibernia out there too, where you can select level range etc for the mobs - however I've long lost the url to that one, hopefully someone else still has it?)

... if someone should post a levelling guide, take it with a pinch of salt - often, the suggested spots is not quite as good as the author makes them out to be.

Like 1/2years ago ppl at lvl15ish would go to parth farm. They are red/orange at lvl 15 iirc and endless spawn if your the only one there. Downsides are that they cast a disease and sometimes they add a lil more then wlecome .

from lvl18ish u could go to Spraggonales and/or walking rocks which are south from parth farm down to Silvermine Mountains.

Lvl20+ U could go Spraggon den but it's a cave so thus not optimal for focus-pulling.

lvl25+ Treibh Cailte, pretty much deserted aswell but entrance mobs are nice

lvl30+ roam in coruscating mines entrance perhaps?

I'd suggest the curm camps near the East Lough Derg parth farm instead, to avoid disease.

I don't recall the exact levels for the different mobs, however I'd suggest either Fairy Steeds in Bri Leith instead, or Vesten (?), which is close by too. Also, irewoods tends to be fairly good for such a small team, if memory serves me right (quite long since I last played hib, let alone exp'd the regular way ;p). Both Fairy Steeds and Vesten is close to bindpoint/horse merchant/healer/merchants, so wipes and loot sales won't take up much time.

One decent hunting ground for level 20+ chars might be near Droighaid in SI. I've played some low level chars there and there're lot of decent con mobs around, fast spawn and if you follow road towards Necht, you'll find decent mobs up to level 30 or so at least. ;-)

when back on camlann i used to go to this town called Droighaid, in Hib SI, alot..

just outside the town, near the bridge, you will see loads of doggies whom varie from yellow to purp at level 20.. and afaik i even hunted them when being 26 ( not sure... )

then after that you should move to Treibh Caille, a dungeon in Lough Gur, where you can pull loads of fast spawning worms who don't agro ( i.e you can decide the amount of mobs a pull )

- you could go for those rocks inside there aswell, big stone things whom spawn fast and are quite hard to beat..

after that Coruscating Mines would be a good place to spend your hours leveling till you hit like 40 ( perhaps even higher .. )

after that, i dont know - i deleted my char and went alb ( still can't believe the mistake i made ;P )

Oh, and goodluck in Hibernia!

Ps. Get crafted weapons/bows for your chars because it really helps alot on leveling! ( i personally always asked for orange/red con bows as they don't degrade their durability really fast and they last longer; @ level 20 get a level 25 bow.. at 25+ get a 30+ bow etc )

Hope this helps a bit..

Thanks alot again, seems we got the level 20+ Camps covered... but we are still having trouble now (at level 15). Those Parth Farm are purples, and those Curm Camps are a little to high for us yet... but i think in 2 levels it will be a superb leveling place (around 20+ critters).

We tried to xp in Muire Tomb... i died so much in there its not even funny... Always pbao'd on someone that just spawned, and WHAM... aggro death :p
Then we tried some ugly mofo's in Shrouded Isle... they added alot... Some Herder thingie with his small friends, damn nice group bonus, but they were also to hard for us, pet went down to fast when 6-8 came :p

Ah well, we are learning (while dying), but it can be frustrating at times...

Thanks for the link for the maps, ill check them out.
