Does anybody know a good electronics forum? For boffins who can repair intricate circuitry.
I'm asking because:
Its a Canon EOS 300, same model as mine, was returned by Canon as beyond economic repair. I've checked it over, the shutter release button is melted, but thats not a major problem I can easily solve that. The main issue is that the ribbon connector to the internal flash and hotshoe has been severed, and I need to know if its possible to repair/replace it. You can see the ribbon on the lower two photographs.
I've powered it up and all other functions seem fine. If I can repair it, it should be a fully functioning camera. As it is, theres no flash.
Is it possible to delaminate these ribbons and weld them back together?
