The server crashes at the point 2 large armies from different realm clashes. There's far more traffic when enemies meet each other and are in combat. As said by some server ran fine with just 100+ albs in a keep, bit fps drop when seeing em all in the screen but not seconds of lag. Once the mid army comes you can really feel the fps dropping a lot and the datastream increase quite a bit. And why didn't we crash at the last prime time raid with so many because they consisted mostly of albs and hardly any mids were seen. Furthermore the alb army was spread all over Midgard Frontier (from AMG, to all keeps and the Relic Keep itself). That's why it didn't crash. When we started to raid the keeps that same saturday (when we lost relics) we had at some time a lot of albs in 1 spot. This made a lot of just crash from the server because it just couldn't handle traffic anymore (think about nrs of 250+ at 1 keep meeting again (regroupping)).
The weird thing is that in the past we had quite some big battles and they may have been laggy then but didn't crash a zone-server. The engine may have been improved but by what cost you could ask. Ofcourse the SI engine looks nice and I wouldn't play without it anymore. I wonder what will happen when we get the TOA engine. And what impact do the different engines have on the servers.
i dont care if you crash the server every day, if it makes you feel superior, fine, at least you are good at it. just dont think you piss me of by it. i have plenty of other things to do while crashses. so just keep up the zerg, the rp's surely are good.
