Totally agree with Derric on this one. I´ve been around since the beta and I must say that I also think stuff have got worse lately. Nowadays it seems to be all about throwing s..t at each other and wine at everything.

As a hard core Mid I always have and always will respect my fellow players no matter what realms they play. It´s all about having fun and it would be pretty dull without any Albs/Hibs around to fight even though all the great Midgardian brothers and sisters makes pretty much every day very fun aswell. So, I´ll join in on Derrics grouphug for sure :)

Most ppl dont find it as fun anymore, only fun when you win and gain RP's so ofc their will be whines and mudwars when anyone lose.

Game is not fun anymore. People say they only have fun when they win, not just playing the game. Once they said that it all went wrong. Now people just play to win no matter how it's done or if they enjoy it or others enjoy it.

If I wanted to take something that seriously I wouldn't call it a game, games are for light hearted enjoyment, not to take more serious than a job.

Hell I had a whole lotta fun today and I must have died a zillion times. Don't know what the other ppl in prydwen complain about...Met some really nice ppl, danced with some nice ladies, had a drink or 2 (you know who you are matey), killed and got killed. And there was not one zerg in sight. /salute to Doink, Gahn, Evexx, Minimax, Frap, Needarez (how many bloody hits do u have? I tried everything and you still were standing), Matriarch, Carerra, and many others in Odins today. Really nice fights and roleplaying.

I had been mulling this myself and had wondered about making a thread. Was interested to see this one appear. Yes, I have to agree the forums have become more vicious and the bulk of the content is whines/flames.

I think part of the reason is that we all used to be new at this, so asking something that we now consider obvious was totally new to everyone so less flames for it.

There were some quite nasty threads though in the past, lets not get too rose tinted about things.

There's certainly a lot more post farming now than there used to be, and reagardless of what they are actually like in real life, I have this image of a spotty little nerk drooling as he manages to make some pointless, witless answer on a thread and practically wanking himself when he hits the Submit Reply button.

Though I don't read every forum and thread on VN religiously, it seems there is less flaming and whining on VN these days compared to BW.

nah my point is, whenever a whine comes up, why don't we all just ignore it, or even better, change the subject.

Example:

general whinetreath =>

<insert randm name here> wtfpnd me, and he wasn't in range for my spel and he was like 2 meters from me blablabla

reply =>

GROUPHUG!!!! :D


Really, it aint that hard, just remember that whenever u reply to a whine treath, 99% will be a whine,
so...
say NO to whining...ignore it ^_^

daoc stopped being fun somewhere around 1.60

and derric gets enough c6 on irc as it is SO NO HOOGELS FOR YOUUUU
