Hax your attitude in this matter is totally wrong, threats and general rudeness gets nobody anywhere. you may have thought you were right in this situation but i know other admins wouldve done different things. me included. i waited fourty minutes for the SaS match on monday in the vain hope they'd turn up.

Bah , enough of this nonsense. Name calling never solved anything, and both the Admin (who should know better) and [SoF] are guilty of it. Let’s not start this "I'm all grown up and have a high and mighty view on everything". I do believe we are all in this together, we all want to have fun playing games...right?
Ok, lets start fresh here and get to the bottom of this.
[SoF] had a problem with a clone player and didn’t know how to get it sorted. They panicked and tried to get new players etc etc, they tried to sort the problem out to the best of their ability......this did not work.
At no point did the admin offer any help in sorting this problem out, and from what I could see it wasn’t [SoF]'s fault anyway.
We all appreciate what the admins do, but I do not think you can really blame [SoF] for being annoyed when the admin failed to offer any assistance. I should also bring it to your attention that it was the admin that started the juvenile banter NOT [SoF]

if only that was actually true, u have no idea with the kind of shit they have to put up with and how powerless we are to do anything against it as we cannot reply to the flames in teh same manner since they're representing barrysworld, all we can do i get mail saying "this was not done how we like it, fix it now." or "u fucked us over u assholes"
they hardly get anyone saying "why thank u for running this league and spending your time to make it all work for us" or a "could u plz change this as we dont think it should be like that, thank you for looking into it"
so plz, before u say anything like this, actually act like it is true first.
(and u might notice that i use they cuz i left the admin team, i can not be arsed to deal with fucking inbreds like this, and to my experience those are the people i have to deal with mostly, dont get me wrong there are actually quite a few nice clans, but i dont feel like they make up for the shit i have to put up with)

I'm not actually directly involved with the league running etc. So either Chip or Jakal will address this query as soon as possible, but i'd just like to clear up a couple of nibbles.
There are complications with new passwords weekly, the servers are completely automated and boot themselves into a league configuration each week, each session. With the structure of how BW works, all config amendments and structural changes have to go through an BW Employed Server Admin. Changing the password weekly does mean the server admins have to be emailed each week and config updated. Which has been thought to be a bit of three arse of things when the problem wasn't really considered to be of any major problem. It does however seem logical that if clans are asked to attend the channel, that they should be a password each week. So, in the light of these recent events i'm sure it'll be looked into.
In regard to admins, i've been in the league at very hot times, I was in a prominant position when the divisions were released and I was quite literally stunned by the sheer scale of the 'complaints'. I think this may stem from the development of BW, perhaps seen to be a Corporate cat. Perhaps that's enraged a sentiment of David Vs Goliath, i'm not sure. But I do know the admins find it particularly difficult to be happy in what they do. It's quite understandable for cases such as this to create a great annoyance. But, at the end of the day, these are people just like yourselves who are trying endlessly to sort problems and stay above it all, they're by no means God's. This league is huge, it requires mammoth organisation and huge efforts, I don't believe any one of you or I don't believe that, and I know it's repeated to enless effect, which does take the meaning away from it. These problems though have completely demoralised some admins, both match and heads as they're held as hate figures amongst the community and in threads such as this they feel obligated to protect and defend them and the league, understandably so. In these situations it obviously doesn't bring out the best in anyone. I hope we all resort to the phrase quoted earlier, "It's only a game", sometimes we get lost in the competitive nature of leagues, but do try to take everything, especially in the frist season of the league in a light and relaxed approach. Things will go and have gone wrong, that can only be improved, with everyone's help and support.
I'm sure we'll get a more official reply, in relation to the actual incident shortly. My post is just a general nibbler, hope you don't mind.

Well, I am a procedures man, so I'll suggest a little more standard procedure for the administrative branch of BWRTCWL.

When a clan makes an objection about a match, answer it with: Your objection has been noted. It will be treated by the high council of BW Wolfensteining. You should expect a reply within 5 days.
Stuff like that usually works (at least to my experience) and a thread like this one could have been kept from growing into this big ole mess. Writing a standard like reply like that is so easy and costs so little.
Of course, there is a little more work: If the objection is posted on this bulletin board, either forward the objection to the proper e-mail addy or instruct the objecting clan on where to place the objection. Still an easy thing to do. The faster it is done, the better.
The real work is in settling the matter. Eliminating time spent in flame threads gives more time for actually deciding on a ruling and closing the matter. If the ruling is prompt and the matter not extremely delicate, I doubt more than a short e-mail explaining the ruling is necessary. In more complicated matters it could be a good idea to get confirmation from the involved parties (i.e. writing "Are you satisfied with the ruling?" to involved parties). Basic sales technique schtuff.

I think the admins word should be final, but this case is a little trickier. I just got the impression that the admin "couldn’t be arsed" and selected the easiest way out.....and who can blame him. I can understand that these arguments can get out of hand etc etc, but I am a little bemused by fact that the admin acted so irrationally and immediately blamed [SoF] for an event which was beyond their control.

Maybe so. It must also be said that the head admin for the night wasn't a normal head admin. As Chip and Jakal were both away on that day of the Jubilee celebrations someone else had taken over for the night. Because people didn't want the week postponed it had to be that way. In that sense it's best that these things are sorted out afterwards, in the light of day, via email preferrably. That way, the heat dies down and things can be looked over in a fresh light by the head admins. A thread does tend to create defensive and offensive positions and develop into all-out brawls, which although fun at times, invariably fails to reach just conclusions.
Saying that, it's probably best if SoF Clan leader emails the details of what happened, and it can be dealt with there. I found it pretty time consuming and confusing to read through all the thread, myself.

ok calling me immature i admin many matches before and not had problems.
i did what i had to do in that match they had 3 players in including the clone now its a deffault any way that what i gave i couldnt do nothing about clone at the time cause i wasnt gonna ban him there and then it was my call and i stand by it you lost there are other matches to play if you drop it.

Looks like there might be a slight glimmer of light at the end of this mess, np with the default ! but simple answers to simple questions would of sorted this all out on the night, not ignorance, we felt like criminals, were a devoted clan (even if we are just in the bottom league).
The main question been, if the clone was locked in the game and five of SOF went in, would the game gone ahead still? i would personally like to think not. i appricate the easy option was to call a default, due to the complications of this matter, but why werent we told, we were just ignored!
