Its not like we're talking millions of Euros here, but yeah you can look on this cynically (or realistically - same thing lol).

But c'mon. She's 108. Let her have the little time she's got left being able to hear her nearest & dearest. Or at least some mid-morning crappy soap opera on satelite !

Aye, but, i bet what they would say: "If we started dissing out hearing aids for every senior citizen, we couldn't afford any healthcare to anyone!"

Just, about, guessing :D

But aye, at that age(anyone over a 100), if she wants to drive a murcielago in the autobahn while a prostitute makes her fanny go "wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr", give it.

she already has one, and wants a new one. Not to sound un-sensative but at the end of the day i would rather someone who cant hear at all get priority. like they do, quite rightly, now
"'Her analogue hearing aid does not filter out background noise so it makes it very difficult for her to hear clearly.'"
In fact thats exactly what they say in the article
A spokesman for Eastern and Coastal Kent Primary Care Trust said: 'We are reducing waiting times.

'The priority is given to patients who do not have an existing hearing aid, but we accept our service needs improving.

She should not be given priority at all
