Mark my words, one day this bloke will be caught for performance enhancing drugs. He could have easily broke 9.50 seconds today but he slowed himself down with 15 metres to go.

I don't think you can really judge what kind of time you will get in a 100m race. He probably didn't realise he was going to break the record, it doesn't normally happen in Olympic finals and there was no wind behind him. He could have easily run 0.1 seconds slower everybody would have still said it was a fantastic time and he would have still won.

Dragracers cout seconds/fractions too, and they go a wee bit faster

Actually, I've noticed that alot of with some other events. If you look at the male and female gymnasts, since they're not running around for 500h a week they're not really as stressed. I mean, I saw (parts of) both gymnast events and they were all calm.
