1 man can do his part of the job in half a day

So it will take two and a half day for 15 men to do the job?

You can't do a third, it's infintine.
Recurs till someone divides by zero.

Using a conscious mind to do math is like hammering in nails
with a coin, sure it'll get there eventually, but it' s pointless,.
use a hammer.

Using the logic of ifs:

If you add more men to the process, 50% more men should (notice the conditional) get the job done 50% faster if all the other conditions remain (same type of job, same type of men, same working speed, same everything...), then: 2,5 days.

Im sure I fail cuz it cant be that simple, yet again, Ohcam's Razor :)

Depends on the hours worked really.

If it's a contracting job, 4 months :p

If its 24h days, 1200h manhours needed for job since it's 10 men(240h/crew/day)
15 man crew do 360h/day.
1200 divided by 360 is 3.33(inf), or 3 1/3.

So 3 days and 8 hours.

Assuming the number of workers is inversely proportional to the time taken (i.e. doubling workers halfs the time) then 5/1.5 = 3.333... days so 3 days 8 hours.

Are the extra 5 people Polish? Cause if they are, they will be finished in about 20 minutes.

3.3333333333333 etc

10 x 5 / 15

Or the long version

10 men working 24 hours for 5 days use 1200 working hours to complete the job carrying out 120 hours of work each.

1200 working hours split for 15 men means they need 80 hours each to complete the task

80 / 24 hours = 3.3333333 etc

Edit, it doesn't matter how many units of work you use, 10*8 (hours a day) *5=400 400/15/8 = 3.3333333 too

But it could ofc be a poorly worded trick question :)

The 5 other men have no arms and legs... so 5 days.

In my experience, teachers don't appreciate you asking for more details on the question.

Which is a shame because you should earn extra cderit for that really, since schoolquestions like that usually are lacking in necessary info for a definitive answer :p

10 days. Too many cooks spoil the broth, etc.

Also the "what nationality are they question" is a good one.

Also depends on the type of work, if it's a labouring job then my first comment my not apply for example.
