1 year and 1 day...

So today is the day, one year and one day since my first and hopefully last epileptic fit.. and you know what I’m glad I went out and got pissed loads, walked home on my own, had baths, contiuned to climb rocks and buildings, sail and go to gigs.

Life’s too short to live in a bubble and I’m glad I didn’t.

Tonight I shall celebrate in the normal manner of a Friday night by getting smashed going to bed too late and getting up with just 3 hours sleep ready for work ..

No he had an epileptic fit one year ago and hasn't had one since. If you have epilepsy you can have a fit at any moment (though there can be triggers) not sure what you are getting at tbh...


Anyway, that's good news Mey, lets hope it stays that way

The Dr. gave me a diagonsis of epliepsy after i had the fit a year ago, he said it was likely i would have another in a couple of months (and when/if i did they would stick me on meds) so far i haven't, which in terms of driving means i'm medically clear to drive again - which is a big bonus for me, as i study at nottingham and live at home in st. helens (and the trains home are shite).

it just doesnt make sense to me for someone to suddenly get an epilepsy attack, getting diognosed, and then it stops. just sounded weird thats all.

and from what i know, you can either BE epileptic, but you can just have a fit. so if you have one, then dont have any more, your clear, if you have a couple , then your basically on meds for life and so forth. having one doesnt mean you are going to have more

One of my friends had an eplileptic fit when I was about 12 and it scared the life out of me - she was saying how the devil was going to get her and the such.

That said - congratz on beating it for that long ^^
