1 shot kills for a Cleric ?

Was in the Gorge happily killing Hibbies when I lost my group and they all died.

Got a /loc from them and headed back and found them + 1 sitting caster.

Targeted them = grey on full hp.

Walked up closer, stun, smite, dead.

My 1st 1-shot-kill in RvR.
Was too busy laughing to catch their name though.

Not sure why this caster was sitting next to a dead lvl 50 Alb though ? What were they intending to do if a rezer turned up ?

Sort of the way I took it

I body sit a fair bit in the hope that someone else will turn up but don't remember doing it on the rare purp Middie I ever saw dead, they usually did it to me when there were purp Middies.

Then I beat you to it.. Some grey elf was jumping up on a keep wall several days ago when we were messing around in emain and hitting some keeps, so I smited the silly thing to bits with one hit.. about 450+ damage I think, which means they are weak ikkle fings.

The point is that a lot of classes can hit greys for 450 dmg so there's really no need to point it out.

Had I wanted to point that out I'd have said there are lots of Classes that can do a 1 shot kill on a grey

Clerics get no crit on their smite, I've done a lot of RvR and it's never happened to me before. The group I was with, although dead, also saw it and found it a bit unusal/amusing.

The fact that Vile beat me to it by a few days also shows it isn't common for this to happen to clerics.

How is it bragging when I say outright I have to shoot some level 10 caster elf to manage a one shot kill? Thats rather the opposite in my book tbh.
Though I might concider it bragging that I did it before Congo but thats between Congo and me and our internal guild banter, wouldnt you say?

The point of my post was that I was suprised that it happened.

No idea what lvl the grey con was but I think up to lvl 36/7 cons grey at lvl50, but I'd expect them to be a reasonable lvl if in the frontier and especially if they're body sitting a dead grp lvl 38-50.

Think Eblessair got the point.

The thead was is titled '1 shot kills for a Cleric ?' to try to indicate that I thought it was very unuasual. If the intention was to brag the title would have been about how gr8 I was 1 shot killing hibbies and I think I may have dropped the grey con bit

Thanks for the tip but why would I bother 2 melee anything ?

I'm a Cleric

In a 1v1 with a melee class if they get close enough to melee all that's needed is 1 insta mez, a few steps back, smite, stun, smite etc... repeat until dead.

Even if I did get 'cocky' and decide to melee, I have a damage add + proc on my hammer, a PB DD insta on a 30 sec timer, about 1500 hp + 2 insta heals that effectively put the hp up to about 2750-3000 hp, AF of 650 odd, huge str and dex buffs and a hp regen one that suks a bit. Even if the melee starts to go badly there's always the inst mez option .

But if Nafta wants to melee a lvl50 cleric I'm not the one to do it my hammer is for its +4 smite only, Finster is the melee master

Hehehe nothing wong in being grey in frontier i have been to frontier as a level 1 a few times also as a level 10 alot, we make good lookouts as when mates see that death message they know the ygot invaders inc also like to say i went there a couple times at level 20 and some guy that conned blue to a level 42 went for me, missed me 2 times and then i blocked him, bet he felt silly

Haha I doubt it I am lvl 19 and got heavily smited loads of times yesterday 220 HP don't get you to far =)

I also need to get a target the grey con button. Was funny when there was this big war and I start to nuke in the middle of it only resists and how a high level instantly turned on me and chopped me down.
