Just think about it for one second, if at all possible.....you die....u self res - YOU CAST AE INSTA MEZ .....erm that affects the whole grp.....clerics get a 25% to do a 3 sec stun ....do you honestly think that is fair ?

and the insta mez will last for about 10s :p

Most of the time this RA will be used to be ressed in fights when the fight is still going which is pretty ok. As for the other part : More and more groups will just wait until everybody has released or camp not far away for the healer to do his trick. So it's not really that good if people know it and arent stupid enough to pass it by without notice.

Also you will have RvR sickness and only 10% power, no buffs which means you will die in notime if used in fights. Also do not forget that it cannot be used when Stunned and usually that is the time i die ALSO you probably wont time it well enough since you will hit it at 10% and some other healer will insta you making you live over that 30 seconds more and it's gone. I think it's pretty well balanced because of these circumstancial quirks.

As Ormorof already pointed out, ... the insta mezz will last wooping 10 sec, tops. If the pac healer were about to use insta-mezz, he would probably have done it before dying anyways <shrug>.

The healer RA is good in certain situations already pointed out - so is the Cleric RA. I don't see the healer RA as one bit overpowered in RvR. I highly doubt any Mid group would use it to resurrect itself with after being wiped. Afterall, they would want to return to the buffbots. And they don't want to stand in enemy territory with high movement and offensive penalties.

So, in group RvR it can be useful for getting the healer back up again after being MA'd. The clerics ability can be useful for avoiding that MA'ing. Is that comparising abilities between classes good enough for you Zede?

Anyways, stop the immature name calling. It only makes you look pety.

Kids, let me explain.... 2 RR5 + grps have a fight....lots of RAs, probably ML and Artifact abilities, and fights can last quite a few minutes... agree ?

A healer gets popped in the first minute or so.....mezzes have gone off both sides, immunity timers are on, ok.... All u got to do is wait a minute....self res/egg of youth L5 ability ( is this gettin nerfed?)/ insta heal, then mez. Im not arsed about the healers ability to "heal" its only the cc im concerned about....I ask you again...how would you feel if Sorcerers got insta self res ?

pretty useless in rvr, getting rezzed at 10% health, oop, rs and UNBUFFED does very little good for a healer, and any decent healer will have already used instas before dying so he can't just insta himself, is buffless and if you have to wait that long without getting a decent rez your grp is fucked

you then have to rez the group, wait for power and rebuff
much faster just to release and rebuff rather than feed the enemy kills

good in roleplay fun situations like big raids etc, but thats about it

alternativly if the healer just keeps himself alive by USING his instas he will still be buffed and will actually get a castable mez of
something that helps you survive > something that gets you back on your feet missing buffs and power
any healer in a grp worth anything would probably rather shoot himself than use this mid fight when there is the possiblity of a proper rez

1) NO ONE has group purge in new frontiers.
2) just because you wait near doesnt mean you turn off to your surrounds so getting jumped is your fault
3) 3 seconds means you get well out of melee range. Savage quad hits you got a great chance of it proc'in on him.
4) self rezz.. hmm, not bothered about that.. if i see it used i will just nuke him instantly
5) Insta mezz.. LOL.. yes please. Melee groups use this and often lose the battle still, especially hibs melee.
6) Sorc rr5 ability is lovely. And could be taken as overpowered.. lets have a savage quad hit but do sod all dmg. taking most that dmg onto himself while the rest the group assist on him. Oh look dead savage :)
7) It aint even finalised and open to change
8) cant judge anything till you seen it in practice.
9) /release better when you got a supply line letting you port all the way back while being able to use your bot buffs again.
10) cant be bothered anymore but can go on more :) Thou not up to date on latest NF changes so will check later and continue mayhap.

The only problem i can see with the clerics one is if its a castable buff that lasts 30 secs it wont be used how ever good it is. Your either casting heals or running not wasteing valuable time casting a buff on your self while an assist train comes thundering towards you .. imo a very small radius 6 sec stun would be a better implamention of the idea .. 3 sec stun just not enough time to get the hell away from light tanks with free PF..

Yeah, thats a valid concern. Although, as most of us, I don't have the feintest idea whetever its cast or insta. I would guess its insta though - would make the most sense.

LOL (as you so like to say) the idea of resting some place and going back to kill the healer is that they don't see you...and this self res thing gives them 10% health and power (i think it said) so not gonna take much to bring him down...and you tell me how hes gonna quickly mezz you if hes busy ressing his group and you going in at mach 5 at him...even if he gets a mexz its unlikely to hit everyone.

and yet where did i say anything about cleric ability?? i never said it was good or healers was worse...i merely stated its not that good in rvr because its not practical...the group lost their buffs, would be running around res sick etc.

also how will they pick you down 1 by 1 if they dead??? once heealer uses this ability...kill him and i very much doubt they will be bothered to use that in rvr...by time their res sick is back and ra's back up and can compete...it will take almost as long as just porting and plus they get the advantage of being able to get buffs from buffbots again, wont they.

1. Whats the possible chance of albs being so close at that excact moment? He should have good time.. all depending on where they fought..

2. True.. and no comment :p

3. I'm not talking about the dead group.. but if you stay still long enough you will actually get more groups at you.. if you been i.e. emain lately you would've noticed the zerges in there.. you can't stay still a sec without being attacked...

Its fine; cant see any overpowered thing to it except:

* PvE. Can be used there nicely if it also wipes aggro-list (prolly will)
* Keepdefense; just die when entering and rezz yourselves.

I just think its stupid to give anyone a self-rezz; its just retarded (to me). Also think the majority of RvR-active healers (who get the ability = RR5+) rather have something else then this

I think the RA is fine too, just wish my cleric had it instead of the proposed 3 sec stun..which is usless tbh... oh yer, it maybe good soloing statues to level my egg..ole' pve again grrrr :(

Healer free RA is ONLY overpowered compared to the cleric free RA...hey what do hibbies get anyone ???

either thing could happen, healer may get mini insta stunned and dropped in first 20 seconds ( happens) or as u say, may already have cast insta mezz and used instas...if the healer is dead, and attention is diverted from his corpse, and mid fight..if may be perfectly possible to res himself, use mcl/power pot/heal pot/artifact ability and put him/her back in to the fight in a more meaningful way than being dead :p

Its hard to determine without it being tested tbh. regarding cleric ra,as Steveh said, so many caster grps these days its now about 50% less likely to even get a chance to be used, were as you know your gonna die ! ( at some point) :p

Death sickness is different from Rezz sickness apparently. So no, you can't purge that with the Egg of Youth.

And as you most obviously (or not) know, there's a huge penalty while having death sickness. Thats why Ormorof states the insta-mezz's will be nothing more than a speed bump, the healing of the healer will ... well, minor at best.

Ooh Zeda, as you don't seem to have read up on NF (yet stil have the guts to whine about it), ... that healer will also be worth RP's after only 1minute. So ... perhaps he actually just ends up feeding the enemy RP's by using /resurrect?

First... look who's talking about reading... you can't even spell Zede's name tbh....

Second... Maybe if another group tags along the enemy would also get more rps? And maybe a couple stealther adds... and maybe another group.. wow.. lots of rps in there to get... but tbh.. what the odds of living trough it? If a group could have i.e. 9 members.. wouldn't you use all 9 spots? 1 more man is 1 more man.. and an advantage to you.. not your enemy...

Healer free RA is ONLY overpowered compared to the cleric free RA...hey what do hibbies get anyone ???

Druids stun themselves when using the RR5 ability. And dmg is converted into heals or smth.

Not too worried about it; its free after all. More worried over buffshearing and the absurd cost-increase of basic needed RA's for a healer-class (MCL, Raging Power).

I dont need MCL on a 3 mins timer; 5 mins is fine. But as a result it gets more expensive and less powerful.

TBH peeps should stop looking at Truesight, MAstery of Stealth and the like and look at what kind of nerf healer-classes are looking upon.

Before 1.5 year we belived that a RA that gives you 15% cc reduction was shit since you had to spent loads of realm points to get it lvl 5. We been wrong. Determination changed the game to assist trains.

to your 3. comment... but if so many groups will attack you if you stay there, what chance does the dead group have to ressurecting everyone quick enough before another group comes along?? very little...therefore it can be seen as useless in that sense

One thing worth noting:

Charge

Active

Grants unbreakable speed 3 for a 15 second duration. User will still be able to move even if rooted, snared, mezzed, or stunned.
Blademasters, Bersekers, Mercenaries


Prevent Flight
With each hit there is a 10% chance of procing a 25% snare. Blademasters, Berserkers, Mercenaries at level 24

So cleric RR5 RA is pretty much useless against the class with the free ability that will let the rest of the assist train catch up, given that they spend at least 5 points for Charge lvl 1.

Still, it's better than armsman/wizard/animist/bard RR5's

Yeah Adorith, there's a counter to many abilities.

The counter to the Healer RA is ... well, kill the guy again?

Even better, mezz him for a minute, then kill him and earn RP (if you got the guts to stand around and wait). Heheh. :)
