it is an info from alb rogue board. some alb was claiming that with his 250+ dex he casts it at 2.9 sec.

and yes, i think that climb+ae mez is overpowered.

Warden is hibs pbt'er and runie is mids. You don't really compare them.
True, our instrument/battlesong line is similar, speed, DDs and instastun/mezz.
Skalds can be compared to pallies as well, since both are chanting classes.(resist chants, damage add, in/out of combat heal chant)
Pallies being the defensive version, skalds the offensive.
I would just like some chant worth playing for my group other than speed. :(

I would rather say that the only thing a minstrel and a skald have in common is speed. The difference between them is(or should be) even bigger than between a bard and a skald.

A skald should outdamage a mincer completly.

I think it was a misstake, in the beginning, to mix stealth/speed. The whole idea with stealthers was the slow movement, except for alb stealth teams ofc. And not only does alb stealth teams have access to speed, they also have access to aoe mezz, insta-dragonfang at 700 range and ablative song, and ofc health regeneration song for faster down time. Gives alb-stealth-team a HUGE advantage. What we are talking about here is a group-based player with stealth. Its so fubar so I cant belive it.

Well, I have to admit that minstrels aint overpowered in normal rvr-situations, but as members in stealth-teams...

And as the situation looks today, both at Excalibur and many US-servers; I thought that they would start to bring down mincers a bit, but nah, they give them even more love.

I tell you this; mincers will become so x-tremly fotm you cant belive it, and Mythic have failed again...

Comparing Skalds to Minstrels is akin to comparing Bards to Healers to Sorcerers...

All are "main" something (speeders, mezzers) but that's where it ends.

Is this change to Thane, mythic's answer for getting the Thane into RVR groups? unless the AE dmg is increased to somthing VERY high, nothing will change for the Thane class, and still be the less wanted class in a rvr group.
As it is now i recon a Group will rather go out 7 in the party, than fill the last spot in the group with a Thane.

I actually mezzed 1fg of CF once :p stealthed and mezzed while they were resting

Still not worth much. Maybe if they gave us a higher level of if at 49-50 BS.
Would give us another reson to spec BS higher. :)

That's true, but the vast majority of RvR doesn't involve stealth teaming, and it would be unfair to judge the overall effectiveness of a class based on one niche. To be honest, I've never played in a stealth team - and I respecced out of stealth entirely to make myself better in general groups. It means I'm as much use as a fart in a box for stealth-ganks and keep takes, but I melee a hell of a lot better. I actually survived a fight with a savage the other day. Admittedly, I had four healers helping me, but hey.

Really, I don't think there's any justification for any changes to mincers. I'm not complaining about the extra DDs, but tbh I don't think they'll make much if any difference.

Actually, this will make relic raids much more interesting...

- Players who attempt to log in near a frontier keep or relic keep that is "under attack" or owned by an enemy realm will now be moved to a "safe point". "Under attack" is defined as when the doors are actively taking damage or are completely broken open. The safe point for attackers is the portal keep of the enemy frontier they are in. The safe point for defenders is the border keep with the portal pad of the frontier they are defending.
