I really really hope they do not remove the jump thing, otherwise I really will end up pissed off and start hating CS moreso. I like the jumping thing, its one of the things that keeps me playing CS now, no jumping deagle h0es, that and watching all the "good" players whinge and whinge about it in stupid ways when it came out :)

Argh, I cannot believe that this is even a possibility ffs, fucking whinging cunts who cant handle change and improvements in gameplay.....

But I have faith, it was the same when they added the new Xhair system, and the same when they added the new netcode system, they didnt change those, so lets hope they dont change this.

What really needs changing is the bullets and overall randomness of the game. Sometimes 3 bullets kill someone, sometimes 2 clips do nothing. Sometimes you spray and miss and still headshot, sometimes you burst on head and hit nothing ? :/

Needs sorting really badly imo, tis the main thing that makes me dislike CS atm, the fact a complete idiot can get 20 / 5 and top a server thinking hes great, when you can see he is utter shite from the in eye view watching how he aims. Its stupid that that can happen :(

The update (from the changes that have been reviled so far) is mainly bug updates, and the luanch of the second stage of valve's anti-cheat. This time it should actually ban and kick and log these bans and kicks.

That bit i really agree with.
I do think you ought to cheer up a bit though :)

lol @ skyler, u prefer half / third your shots not counting long as those nasty jumping ppl at stopped, ffs, god i hope u dont say its more realistic, that really pisses me off. the jumping was part of cs ffs, changing the way the engine works was just plain wrong, i'm not a fan of bunnyhopping but there was other ways to stop it without retarding SAS men to ppl that cant vault a small wall withing being slowed right down!

this btw is caused by hlguard / csguard so i'm told, and BY servers play like old cs, ie. your shots count

bullets in CS are unpredictable and random, the missed shots might be Hlgaurd. Jumping should stay as it is now, limiting it was the best thing Valve have done gameplay wise.

Soul, the bullets are completely random on whatever server. CSGuard/HLGuard doesnt directly effect how bullets are calculated but it does affect server CPU usage which can end up with miscalculated bullets. With or without CSGuard/HLGuard CS is still totally random.

The jumping thing is great, its changed the gameplay in the right direction, they keep adding great new things into CS with every version, just they seem to make the bullets more and more random :(

It doesn't gray babeh, how long did it take you to find 1.4 which was actually available for download, I was at work and luckily I have some top guys in me clan(ta b00b)who sent me the patches when they finally got them, the whole scramble for them does me head in, but like everyone else I wanna play it as soon as possible when a new update is released:(

Does this mean it's true that Condition Zero has gone back to September release ?

I think stopping the bunny hopping is good but perhaps a slowdown after 2 jumps would still allow us to 'vault those walls' without the split second of treacle wading afterwards.

Hope they tune those bullets sprays though. The 'in-eyes' view let's you see all the decent players aiming above ppls heads. Can't be right..mumble..mumble..Q2..mumble..had to aim for ppls bodies..mumble..old days......................

Thank you Tremor m8 :)

As a footnote, when I started playing q2 online 150 years ago I was called Wacker. A few very old KEA members may recall this .
Anyway , one day I discovered the clq. I was quite suprised to see hundreds of peeps called wacker! And I thought i was so original ! :)
So I picked the most unheard-of name I could. throdgrain is such a small character in Gormanghast he doesnt even get into the Tv program. I figured (rightly so far!) that no one else in the world would ever have the same name as me.
The series wernt too bad imo, but you really had to have read the books to understand it I suppose.

From CS Nation :

HL 1.1.1.0 Change-List
Mr Bond @ 18:07 - half-life - 42 comments - hot topic
In the midst of the talk about release dates for the coming versions of CS/HL, Erik Johnson of VALVe has posted the change-list for HL 1.1.1.0. While all the changes seem useful, it looks like this release is more about consolidating and adding to the changes of 1.1.0.9 than adding anything brand new. The VALVe anti-cheat is to be implemented in a much more effective manner so cheaters beware.
Changes/Additions:
------------------
» Ricochet included in this release.
» Added logging of the anti-cheat system catching and kicking detected cheats.
» Added logging of "kick" commands.
» Added logging of "banid" commands.
» Changed error message if clients try to download missing resources to be more helpful.
» Added new debug message for mod makers if a packet couldn't be parsed correctly.
» Linux: hlds_run now does auto-restart by default (to disable: define "-norestart" on the command line)
» Linux: hlds_run uses "exec" when you define the "-norestart" option.
» Linux: Added -pingboost command line parameter. Currently supports three different methods ('-pingboost 1', '-pingboost 2', and 'pingboost 3'). These may not work well (or at all) on some OS environments.
» Linux: Added "-debug" flag to hlds_run to automatically run gdb and pull out useful info.

New CVARS:
----------
» Added "serverversion", can be set to '1108' to view/re-record old demos.
» Added "sv_logbans" to turn the logging of player bans on and off. Default is 0 (off).

Bug Fixes:
----------
» Fixed incorrect WonID logging.
» Fixed sv_allowdownload being required to be set to 1 for clients to connect to secure servers.
» Fixed 'bad address type' fatal error on servers that attempt to run in secure mode but have no DNS resolution.
» Fixed DropClient messages for Steam clients who were banned or have a duplicate Steam ID to properly show the SteamID of the client.
» Fixed HLTV reporting wrong spectator numbers if connection to server was pending.
» Fixed "multicast 1" not working if it was issued before HLTV connected to game server.
» Fixed relay proxies reporting wrong spectator/slots numbers in
multiplayer/LAN menu.
» Fixed DMC powerup bug where the invisibility ring would make people glow red.
» Fixed rcon bug in HLTV.
» Fixed delay being reset to default value during changelevel.
» Fixed a problem with propagating HLTV banners.
» Fixed client freeze on exit.
» Fixed framerate problem on some ATI video cards.
» Fixed MaxPing filter not being saved correctly.
» Fixed sky box bug.
» Linux: Fixed server using 64 MB more memory than it needed to.
» Linux: Fixed 'undefined symbol: __strtouq_internal' on some Linux systems.
» Linux: Fixed segmentation fault on some Linux systems when attempting to run in secure mode

I dont think that they intend the hostages to carry ladders. That would mean that they could basically escape whenever they wanted, without waiting for assistance from the CT's ;)

Who cares about hostages, they only reside on shite maps and dont make for good games at all...

de_ is the way forward ;)
