Hmm, the songs "Not Meant For me" and "Forsaken" off the soundtrack in QotD are great... the music fit the movie perfectly. I also forgot to say that this is good for a vampire movie, don't usually like those.
Spiderman has a pretty good soundtrack but haven't seen the movie yet.
I think that I got an good impression of the movie because I loved the music in it, sounds so good in the theaters. But still I wouldn't say it is extremely crap either.
Scooba how are the Scandinavians making the hideous forms of rock? US probably has by far the most of this... but then again the movie also had nice "music" which was done by that other dude and Jonathan Davis from Korn. Gotta love Korn.

Is it a pre-requisite to enjoy music like this to either have not noticied that the 80s ended or to be pissed off with your parents?

No, I think its just a sign that hardware nurds shouldn't be allowed to interact with anyone except each other.
