Every release of CS has been the death, but alas it still draws the numpties (myself excluded)

When people get used to this bf patch, everyone will be happy and glad that they have a decent multiplayer game to play.

I was semi-joking with that comment, maybe I shoulda put an unhappy smiley on the end.

But this 1.3 patch is the first patch ever, for any game that I can remember moaning about on a public forum. And I played EQ for years and DAoC on and off (if you play them you'll know about hostility to patches.)

I was already annoyed with how one sided planes vs ground units was and they made it even worse. I only pretend to be a negative person and in this thread I was trying to push a single argument.

I'll be playing R2R but only cos GAME had already shipped my order. And also given the amount of people who agree with me about planes (in the community as a whole), I really do expect some changes in the future.

I don't find the planes that annoying, tbh if the dicks who got in them or on the AAs did a proper job there wouldn't be an issue. If you're looking for realism then its fairly close to RL but again AAs and your own planes must do better to achieve a level playing field.

That is SO true ! Evey patch that comes out, theres always people saying o this is the end etc. I find it amazing. I remember one bloke on a CS server calling me a wanker becuase I didnt think a certain map was shit , yet the map had only been out a day ! Its the same in every game it seems, people hark after a unatainable nirvana, and end up playing one map over and over again. Dust. The Edge. These people put up with version 1.1 I assume, then tell us 1.3 is shit !!

I think the AA guns need to be toned back up slightly for the next release having had a chance to use them, maybe halfway between 1.2 and 1.3 settings.

Well I haven't played this for a while (the load times are so annoying when you only have a short time to play) but sat in a AA emplacement is one of my favourite places to be. You get to kill people regularly (if you lead in correctly) and you can nip out and (try) to kill people sneaking up on you to stretch your legs.

It's war goddamnit and you've got a job to do.
