Wanted to start DaoC this morning to farm some scrolls, but I my client couldnt even connect to the login server. I dont know the IP for the excalibur server from the top of my head, but I ran a tracert on www.camelot-europe.com and found an extreme bad routing problem starting once I get to Paris

The game crashes back to the desktop on connecting to the login server for me. Doesn't look to be a network issue here, though.

I'm from Belgium, isp Telenet and i have the same problem:

the moment the ping trace enters Opentransit i get 20-30% packetloss, causing huge lag at times, and ofc linkdeath

the rest of my connection is fine, no probs pinging to lets say gamespy.com

i hope it is fixed soon

Seems like its some specific providers that have the problems and not everyone, im sure this has happened before and also with opentransit, took days to be fixed and they reffered to it as opentransit hickups iirc

I've experienced these problems as well, with that isp :x (with ADSL from Telenor that is)

Always Telenor having them problems :p (their routing sucks, imo)
But I'm going to check when I get home, did check a few hours ago, so not sure right now.

Well, some are NOT ISP related..
So please don't belittle the issue of the server lag :flame:
All green light ingame and people still get casting times of 1-30 seconds, but don't you worry, GOA are on it

Server lag on Midgard ToA zones
[2004-8-03]

Hiyas everyone,

Just a quick note today to point out that we are aware of the lag issue on the ToA Midgard zones for Prydwen for the last few days. We have been working on this since the release of Trials of Atlantis. More information about this as soon as possible, just letting you know that we know.

On a side note, some of you are also suffering from normal (internet) latency lately. This is not something under our direct control sadly but when we can, we do try to contact the various ISP involved.

An easy way to see if the latency is server side or ISP based is to check the latency indicators in game (SHIFT+P by default). Usually, when you have all the indicators green but are having delays in actions such as casting spells or sitting, this is server side. Currently only Midgard (ToA zones) has the problem on Prydwen and as said above, this is being worked on. If the indicators are going on the yellow or red, then this is most likely a problem somewhere between your computer and our servers.
