ATTN: UK people who want TOA TOMORROW

Last year due to a thread on the then barrysworld/game.net forums Game decided to allow the sale of Shrouded isles in it's high-street stores on the wednesday.

Same situation this time with TOA, last time it was because Deebs or someone (can't remember sorry!) used his clout and talked to someone up high in game.. due to the spam on the thread with angry uk people wanting TOA when they should be able to get it, tomorrow.

So, im asking that all of you who have the time just send a short email to
customerservices@game.uk.com to ask that they do the same thing this year and tell their branches to allow the sale of TOA tomorrow.

It happened last year, it's worth a try this year!

Ok use this (almost the same as the one i sent earlier)

Dear sir/madam,
This email is regarding the sale of the PC CDROM game 'Trials of Atlantis', the latest official expansion pack to the best selling 'Dark age of Camelot' MMORPG game.

The Europe wide release date for this title is wednesday the 25th of Febuary (tomorrow), this is also when the online game servers will be patched up so that people can start to use the expansion. However due to technicalities the UK release date is set for this friday (27th feb) instead of the 25th. The same thing happened last year with the previous expansion pack for 'Dark age of Camelot' ('Shrouded Isles'), which was infact released at the same time last year as this new expansion.
Last year the outcry from UK residents wanting to buy this game on the europe release date (25th) caused your company to contact it's branches and allow the sale of the 'Shrouded Isles' expansion on the wednesday to allow for large customer demand ( I believe this was due to large response on a game.net forums thread about the subject ).
It is with this in mind that I am asking if the same would be possible this year, and that the 'Trials of Atlantis' expansion might be sold on the europe release date (wednesday 25th feb, tomorrow) rather than the uk release date of the friday 27th feb. This would of course mean increased sales of the title for yourselves since Game will be the only highstreet shop allowing the sale of the title on the wednesday.

I work in a GAME shop. Was going to go into work today but never got around to it. No idea if we've had the copys delivered but will check it out tommrow at lunchtime. If they're in i'll give Head office a ring and get the lowdown and post here. I would of thought they'd be already selling it by then tho.

I got an email from game.net yesterday telling me my order was being processed now, whatever that means. I presume it means they have the discs and are packaging them, but could just be refering to paper work.

Just rang my local game store they havent had it delevered this morning

Neither of the local game stores here have it either, and the bloke I spoke to said it was surprising that they don't have it yet for a Friday release. He then went on to say that as they didn't have it to expect a few weeks delay! :eek6:

However, I do think in this case he was probably wrong, he'd better be!

I pre-orderd my copy off play.com monday and the status is "packing" so hopefully they'll send it today.... I orderd a X-Box pad from them and after that was sent on tuesday it said 3-5 days delivery :S

Hopefully ill get it by Friday but im not gettin my hopes up.
