Which ever Sojourner keeps picking up the shades of mist cloak and teleporting out - please kindly f****** stop, your screwing up the encounter - twice now ive gone to help freinds when asked get this encounter done, and try to get credit for my scout and both times the 3 sphynx are ready, the statue has spawned but theres no bloody cloak

Im just going on what people have said that if the sphynx dont have the cloak then someone must have ported out with it.

I hear it's been down for most of last week and afaik, the person who ports out with the cloak doesn't get the SoM until someone else kills the sphinx.

It's taking the piss if ruining an encounter like this is acceptable in the CoC.
At least it should be considered bug abuse and the sojourner suspended for a year or something.

Port takes forever to go off?

And the cats own you when you touch the cloak?

Im confused as to how this is posible, would of though the person with the cloak gets zerged by the large cats if they pick it up?

Dont understand this bug at all. Should report to rightnow though anyway.

I the encounter pop 2 times while camping it and every time the cloak was gone by the time I got the group together for it.

Both times it was the same person .. I won't name names but just having that same person do it twice in a couple days makes me believe that the owner of that char is doing it more often.

The problem is that according to the rules as they are now it's not bugabuse/stealing/illigal ... the person who takes the cloak starts the encounter ..

Doesn't take away it's rude

smartest thing to do is as soon as it pops run up to the cloak .. grab it, die, release and run back and then get people to help you. ... normally this makes one of the sfinx' take the cloak from you .. so when you kill the right sfinx it drops the cloak...

This way it's not on the statue anymore and it's not sojournable anymore.

I hope youve abused your E&E status and reported them directly, im sure theres something in the CoC/EULA that covers screwing up an encounter for everyone else.

The Sojo single teleport takes 20 seconds to cast, and can be shortened by quite a bit with plenty of dex and spec buffs, my guess is one person trains the three mobs while a sojo teleports, shoudl easily be able to do this within the time

Anyone never thought that you can just start casting gateway, and take the cloak in the last 5 seconds? Easy to do it, it's just useless as long as noone else kills the sphinxes.

And not a specific sphinx picks up the cloak, they all pick it up is actually the way it goes, and when the sphinxes have it picked up theyre weakened.

GOA should make a quickfix for it, like, if you port out within the sphinx ring you fall back into it from 10.000 units high.

Nope ... as I said ... by porting away with the cloak they basicly start the encounter ... it becomes their encounter .. in a way.

We turned up to do the encounter a couple or three weeks ago when I noticed it was 'up'. We also found the cloak gone and the statue not willing to interact with anyone.

Fortunately a kindly GM (shame I can't remember his/her name

) turned up and reset the encounter for us. So, as long as you can get in touch with a GM you should still manage to get the arti.

Not a fantastic solution at all but it's not long 'til patch day when this apparently gets fixed.

Self-port takes 20 seconds tears?Interesting idea though if it didnt bug up the encounter...

and you cant start casting it and THEN start the encounter with only a few seconds before you port, why?

When a sojo ports out with the cloak - yes they start the encounter, but surelly if they dont return to complete the encounter and leave it for days that breaks some form of EULA/CoC statement ? It must do...

Thats like pulling a mob and keeping him engaged for a few days so no one else can do it

Iread that the shark gloves and staff of god get fixed in 1.70 so you cant port with them, but did i miss SoM ?

Roflmao - the most amusing thing for me was actualy thinking Sko had had a bad time of late with not making dragon or ML10 signups, maybe others too <shrugs> was all set to give the guy a break, but not after his PM's last night in game, some people are just beyond help, have never ignored someone ingame or on the forums before - but its a nice feeling knowing i never have to read his banter again

Funny tho when ive been camping SoM, or waiting with others camping it to try to leech credit, its always Sko that runs around agroing the Sphynx - may be something in that Screenshot Escape hehe

Ahh but never actualy ignored you before, and to be fair you were never as bad as him. I changed my forum alias to the character I started to play the most - makes sense with the raids im running and have run over the last few months to people know exactly who to talk to ingame.
