Service Not Available (Saturday morning)

Went LD on both accounts, okay no problem - has happened before, tho very rarely.. today this morning, saturday the 8th after LD "timer" was over and accounts logged out, I went to log back in again...

But nooo... Get past Login server, loads up Darkness Rising background and connects to server IP..

On line 4 or so.. Connecting to service
Retrying..
Retrying..
Retrying..
Service not available, press Esc to exit

Anyone else has this problem? Tried to borrow a friends acc details, and same thing..

Btw, I run on Cybercity Internet, Denmark.

Yes, same here, seems excal-IP is blackholed or something. I can reach (via ICMP PING and traceroute) prydwen (193.252.123.177) but not excalibur (193.252.123.33).

Annoying.

Trace ends at opentransit-1.ar3.AMS2.gblx.net which indicates that there is something that´s changed or gone wrong with the peer between global crossing (the provider bredbandsbolaget among other ISP`s uses for international connectivity) and opentransit.

Had the same exact problem yesterday I think it was, but then it only lasted for a few minutes.

Hopefully they sort it out soon.

Eh, did anyone state that it was?
Excal was reachable via Global Crossing for about 2 minutes just now, but are now unreachable again.

just as you, I also had the problem yesterday for a short time.

and no luck to reach exc/pry IPs with pingplotter, so thats kinda out of the question, just says destination address unreachable

If you do a traceroute (or the command tracert on windows-platform) and it has something like this along the way:

9 so6-0-0-2488M.ar3.AMS2.gblx.net (67.17.68.134) 59.607 ms 61.715 ms 62.677 ms
10 opentransit-1.ar3.AMS2.gblx.net (64.208.110.2) 50.168 ms 42.786 ms 63.891 ms

.. it means that your ISP is using Global Crossing (gblx) as an international provider. You will then have the same problem as the rest of us. =) People using telia for example is not going via Global Crossing and seems they´re not experiencing any problems.

thx m8, did a traceroute and indeed can't pass Global Crossing (gblx).

can't even use rightnow to send a report. Best thing is to wait till it's solved then, glad i'm not he only one tho

Same thing happens here in Denmark, meaning I play with a guildie every day more or less, he's 200km from where I live and use TDC cable, works for him..

So it's not neccessarily the country you live in that makes the difference.

I know cuz my son can connect just fine. Problem seems to be if your ISP
uses global (gblxs) in the routing path you can't connect.
