Thinking about buying a new PC, but a little unsure on best setup for the money this is the hardware im thinking:

- Processor -
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4ghz) Socket 775 FSB1066 4MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor (about £200)

- Motherboard -
MSI P6N 680i SLI SKT 775 8 Channel Audio ATX (about £150)

- Graphics -
EVGA 8800GTS SuperClocked 320MB DDR3 DVI PCI-E (about £220)

- Memory -
OCZ 1GB DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 (OCZ2N1066SR1G) SLI Ready Memory (about £90)

- Harddrive -
Seagate ST3500641AS Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM SATAII/300 16MB Cache - OEM (about £70)

- Case-
Antec P180 EU Aluminium Super Miditower - No PSU (about £80)

- PSU -
Seasonic S12 Series 430W ATX2.0 PSU With PCI-E Power Connector (about £40)

The motherboard is SLI ready so in the future I can always put another graphics card in if needed.

The machine will only be for gaming and possibly some video editing, more mainly gaming

Any feed back would be really appreciated.

Get 2gig of ram. The geil stuff is good, and quite often on offer at overclockers.

Get a 650i motherboard, they are more stable than the 680i's, and there's not much in it performance wise, but a lot of difference in cost!

If you are looking at SLI in the future, get a high capacity PSU now, something like the corsair 620w.

What res are you looking at playing at?

Yeah, def get 2Gb memory.

An MSI motherboard, they always used to be the cheapest shittiest ones - anyone know if they've actually got better?

They're one of the best these days. Good for overclocking and stable.
