God I hope this makes it clear.

First:
Talk to your trainer.
Talk to the relevant NPC in your class guild.
Talk to the King.

a) Get Champion Level 3 (Get CLxp)
OR
b) Do CL Quest Chapters 1 and 2 (Go through the quests, walkthrough here.)

About Horses:

Why Should I buy a horse?

Horses are an incredible way to get around in style. The benefits of an advanced horse include personal flavor (type of horse, armor, barding), storage (up to 16 extra inventory slots with an extra 200 pounds that travel with you) and speed (150% base land speed).

What kinds of horses are there?

There are three kinds of horses:

Basic Mounts: Only come in chestnut, no armor, no barding, no saddlebags, and require level 35. The cost is 250g and available from the stable master in your capitol city (with a little quest required) The movement speed is 125%.

Advanced Mounts: Can use all armor, barding and saddlebags. 16 different horses available from 1 plat to 8p. See your Quartermaster's Aid in the throne room for the 1p chestnut (min level 45) and the Quartermaster for the rest (which require Champion Level 2 or higher). The movement speed is 150%.

Epic Mounts and Unicorns: Same stats as an Advanced Mount, but are magical in appearance. They cost 15p each and require a quest to obtain them. See this site for updates on quest details.

What is barding and what do each look like?

Barding is the cloth blankets and adornments that can be used by those players Champion Level 1 and who are using an Advanced or higher mount.Barding remains the same for all 3 realms. The different styles can be found right here.

What is armor, what does it do, and what does it look like?

Armor is the leather and metal that makes your horse look fierce or majestic. That is all it does. It offers no other utility or protection other than style. As for it's appearance:

What happens if I enter combat on horseback?

Your horse vanishes immediately. You will not be able to summon your horse again until 10 seconds after combat is over (and don't forget DOTs keep you "in combat").

What is the manliest of all horses?

The rainbow unicorn, duh.

Questions I haven't seen answers to yet:

1. Can you trade horses between characters (provided they meet requirements etc). For example can I buy my 1p mount now upgrade it later and give 1p mount to alt?

2. Barding - presumably crafted by tailors? Or is it in cloth working like armour is in metal working? Can it be emblemed/dyed?

3. Why doesn't /summon or /summonmount work for me

Please don't paste from Herald etc, trying to make this post concise.

Nice FAQ just one extra question, which level of horse do you need to name it ? can you name epic ones only ? or are the advanced ones able to be named?

1p+ horses. You can't name the 250g cheapos.

68billion PVE XP per level, or around 80k RPs per Champion Level I am led to believe.

It doesn't scale.

I bet you haven't actually dinged CL1. Doing the quest isn't the same thing.

i havent got a title yet so no i cant of, do i have to be 50????

I'm in the same situation aswell. Level 46 on my druid, done most of champion quest chapter 1 but do not gain CLExp. King does not give any other options. iirc Champion status on character sheet says: None. My level 50 warden got initiate at once.

Tested this slightly yesterday.
I got 1 bub of clexp (1/10 of a level) from 3000 realm points.
So 30k rps / champ level.
150k rps for cl5 (unless higher cl's require more).

I CTD'd a few times in Camelot last night because I turned too fast. Guess I'll have to drop resolution and graphics settings a bit - although I'd have thought my x800xl would have handled it

aint it around 100 million per oj, spo 680 oj mobs to ding cl5, sound fair to me.

how much Ram do you have if you got an Radeon x800 you shouldent have a problem if you havent got a poor CPU.

I have 2 gig ram, AMD 3500+, Radeon X800, I can log on 2 accs on same comp without the slightest problem.
