I know Bartar opinions are not exactly liked here, everyone has their view i guess, but i have known Bartar for ages on game, when i was but a lil lvl 15 paladin in the big green plains He is a good guy and well respected in Albion, there has been countless amounts of posts by people from other realms saying how cool he is and how he helped them etc.. So don't judge him too harshly please! even though he has kinda done same with your realm hehe.

strange thing is taggart, that i know bart too. and i have never had the respect for him that i had for you, or any of the others that let a newish minstrel into there groups.

Dunno about you guys, but being the realm 'underdogs' appeals to me.
I mean no matter what time we go Emain, the majority Hibs are fast asleep by midnight, but Albs seem to be able to muster 2-3 FGs, and Mid stealthers seems to be the dominant classes in Emain at that time.
It's at these times with 1 (maybe 2) small groups of dedicated Hibs, that for me the game comes into it's own, and holding the AMG (or occasional keep) vs. greater numbers of enemies is what keeps us motivated.
Bit like Rourke's Drift, 'cept personally I don't run out of ammo (Void)
I respect our opponents, and sometimes we've had a laugh by outwitting each other with lightning strikes, ambushes, well places AEs, etc - and we have a good record of success.
Even when we are overwhelmed, as long as we die well, it's worth the trip, rather than the more usual 'whoever-has-most-players-wins' that dominates most RvR.
Hib is a great realm, and doesn't suffer from the overcrowding we hear so much about i the other realms, and as such i'd rather be a bigger-fish in a small pond, than small-fish in a bigger pond, if you catch my drift?

In ref to Bartar and forming opinions of him from this thread : I'm not judging Bartar, I'm just saying that I think the majority if not all the things he said in his post are untrue or unfounded.
This is afterall a discussion board. If you can't reply to people without being assumed to be forming opinions then the boards just become a flamefest ... oh wait ...

I'm not quite sure I follow your analagy there. You either seem to be saying that you can roll a firby healer and "become [a] Celt" by speccing bard/warden. Or that celts can't be druids...

erm <looks puzzled> since when are 'females and kids' non serious players? not sure exactly what you class as a 'kid' ... i don't see how age has anything to do with how serious you are... im 16 but yet im not immature enough to make a completly useless flame thread discriminating about age or gender... and about seriousness not sure what u mean by that if its by someone playing for a long time ive got to level 50 and rr4... not great i know but id consider that and my play time of 34 days as relatively serious considering its only a game... calm down and quit the flaming bartar and how old are you btw?

b) Complaining that players have "buffs" Imagine how much you would complain if you joined an RvR group in emain etc and the casters didnt give you buffs therefore most players you kill will have buffs.
c) Implying that Champions are a weak class compared to a Spearo. My level 50 Friar can take spearos down easily but I'll run like Hell from a Champion who will always own me. A "weak class" from your point of veiw is one that you personally own easily. One characters easy RPs is anothers instant death...
d) Incapable of typing in any recognisable form or English. I realise that for many players English is their second language but despite a limited abilty in the language you understand what they are saying as there is a will to talk to you in a perceptive way and a point worth listening to. No silly ... My point was that if "tanks" were restricted to "tank" races then the same would have to apply to healers. Thus, a Celt, who has lower Empathy than a Druid couldn't become a healer (such as a bard, druid or warden) since a Celt wouldn't be considered a healer race. Geddit?
Women don't enter leagues and ladders because they are too busy doing the dishes, cooking meals for their burly, strong men, beating clothes dry on rocks and procreating. I know between washing my hair and painting my nails I can rarely find the time to play DAoC.
P.S. As a female I take particular enjoyment out of beating attitudes and egos such as this to a pulp in game, be it in an FPS shooter or a roleplay slide show. I have many notches in my keyboard.
