I've just done an essay on this (gotta love Moral Philosophy), and my conclusion was that yes, Voluntary Euthanasia should be legalised. Surely our right to death is just as important as our right to life?

Noone's arguing it from a moral standpoint really. We all agree that if you want to die that's OK. It's just that legalising it might lead to side-effects (if u see what i mean.)

This whole case is a complete waste of time and money over someone's stupid "principles".

What is stopping you going to another country where they don't have "anti-euthanasia" laws and topping yourself there ? Its just mind-boggling this has been elevated to a "right to die" issue, it's not about dying, it just about throwing spanners in the works and making a costly issue over nothing.

Can't they just buy her a one-way ticket to Kandahar or something ?

people ask what is the meaning of life,
some say its there to be enjoyed,
but if your not enjoying your life, why live it?

got me befaddled :)

what about this one>...

why is it 16 yr olds can have sex but cant watch hardcore pr0n ?

irrelevant i know but here's another>...

if someone comes into your house with the intent to steal, why cant you inflict enough force to incapactitate them? the law states that you can only inflict as much harm as they do to you but this does not work, if they flick you and you flick them back, its not going t stop them from stealing is it?

Short, sweet and to the point. And that's just my...

No, seriously, I did Moral Philosophy too j00 know.

I think I should have the right to torture burglars who enter my home to death over a 4 year period, force-feeding them their own bell-ends, while still attached, by breaking their spines so they can reach, and it's hard to see exactly what they're biting because I've shoved 30 pins in each of their eyes.

If you've ever been burgled I'm sure you agree :)
