turn 38, the next map "europe" is a different matter as you no doubt found out

Indeed. I don't like that one. Strategy says you have to move fast since you are receiving fewer units per turn but the Axis has such a high income it is hard. The second challenge map isn't easy either.

i had the whole of africa, strong borders..lookin good. then in 1 turn 3 diff armies all cashed in the cards and i was wiped out in 2 turns

Not crazy as the name suggests, impossible. i think you have rely on types of ai stupidity to win...not sure seems impossible.

The issue with all the challenge maps is the low income with respect to your AI opponents. If they stop fighting each other for long, you get fucked.

We should try and get a FH game of this going.
