Sorry to drag this back on topic but...

Warhammer online should be great as they are trying to incorporate the unique skills system that Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying brought in - with skills such as Alcohol Consumption under the Student Career its pure class all the way!!

I remember the fun to be had playing a Rat Catcher or a Bawd (a guide to the seedy side of town...) - cant wait!

The only thing i really liked about warhammer.....well, two things, were A. the figurines. B. The stories.

I love reading all the stories they come up with.

The Warhammer MMORPG is based on the old pen n paper roleplaying rules not the miniature wargaming rules - I think a few people who responded to this thread were thinking of the crummy wargaming system - they are both set in the same world but the games were completely different.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay came out about 1986ish if memory serves and was discontinued by Games Workshop a few years later then bought by Hogshead who recently sold the rights to someone else...

The Warhammer Miniature rules are still published by Games Workshop and going strong (although every version seems less complicated than the version before but I might be old n cynical).
