So..time for beddy bye byes.
Its over, economy is kickin, major tax cuts for the ordinary people are incoming.
When people see that extra money in their pay, Trump will be the hero and media will have to tread lightly.
Which major tax cuts?

I see the Americans are using hostile tactics to threaten Iran whilst telling them they don't war.

Good ol' 'murica.

Thought Trump wanted to stop this kind of stuff.

Stop just spouting talking points. Legitimate purpose is required where there isn't a law. In this case there is a law. The purpose of the law was to allow congress to ensure that public officials aren't financially compromised.

Why are they fighting so hard to keep secret what every president for decades has published? Why do you think? Why risk contempt of congress and breaking the law?

Why do you keep posting it if you dont want an opinion.
You post entirely from borderline conspiracy theory point of view articles.
It is unprecedented to apply for tax returns and is quite legitimately seen as overstepping powers and convention with an agenda.

Like wtf?

Says who?

We’ve seen every president’s tax returns for decades. He promised to release them. The House has legal authority to do it.

Yes they are voluntarily handed over usually.
But to demand them is very serious indeed.
The denial comes after two missed deadlines by the Treasury secretary, who again in his letter said the request by House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal under an obscure statute of tax law is "unprecedented," arguing it raises "serious constitutional questions" that could have dire consequences for taxpayer privacy

So it’s the law then.

This is just un fuckingbelievable.
Regardless of the fact that its completely illegal to try or how you feel about him.
He gets votes in California and they are actually putting forward a bill that would prevent people voting for him.
Seriously, we are going to try to pass a bill to remove the guy you vote for because we dont like him.

And they accuse Trump of obstruction...just I cant even.

A California bill aims to keep Trump off the 2020 primary ballot unless he releases at least 5 years of his tax returns

that article said:
The proposal is in response to Trump, who bucked 40 years of tradition by refusing to release his tax returns prior to his election in 2016.
He could, of course, simply release them...

It's what a man with nothing to hide would do. He's a really unsuccessful businessman and his returns will confirm that (the snippets that were leaked yesterday do confirm it) but there must be something else that he's desperate to keep out of the public domain. Lots of short-term failed businesses screams money laundering, there's probably all sorts of juicy ties to Russia in there too.

Let's not forget he repeatedly said he wanted to release them during the election but he couldn't because he was being audited (except a) he wasn't being audited and b) the IRS said that being audited wouldn't prevent someone from releasing his or her tax returns) but then he also said he wanted the Mueller report to be released and look how desperately he's trying to keep that under wraps.

In the name of transparency he absolutely should be told he can't stand again if he's not going to release them. The more he digs his heels in, the worse the contents must be.

edit - I just saw this, even more normal behaviour from a man with nothing to hide:

Trump Asserts Executive Privilege Over Full Mueller Report

I don't know why he wants to prevent the release of a report that "totally exonerates" him. Maybe one of his lackies read the redacted bits to him (let's face it, he won't read it himself) and he realises just how bad it would be if it came out.

He has been told not to release them by his own advisors
Im sure theres a lot of uncomfortable stuff in there, but you do have the right not to incriminate yourself in the court of the witch.

But seriously..blocking him off the balot.
How can they even....

They weren’t asking him. They were asking the IRS using a power they legally have so your point isn’t relevant.

Because there’s evidence of crime in them you’re saying then?
No, those things are all teady dealt with.
But because the Democrats are in such a shitshow of their own making all they have left is conspiracy theories.
So every tiny bit of his finances would be poured over to see if they could throw enough shit to see if any sticks.
That works to an extent but in reality they are losing the support of ordinary people who can see the desperation hete.
Fight him with policies, not endless dirt digging.

*sigh*
