Russel Watson - the voice

Note- as text does not convey tone of voice this note confirms that yes I was being sarcastic.

OMG i cant belive no one has mentioned The Strokes gr8 album and they are going to be massive this year. Ryan Adams is also a must buy some very good tracks on there.

I usually steer clear of saying particular acts are shit, because it's all a matter of taste, and if one person out there likes something, it can't be shit, right? However, I have to say Blink 182 are totally fucking awful - along with pretty much every other American "high school" rock outfit.

I thought the Avalanches - Since I left You was a good album, very good for putting on in the background while getting ready to go out. Lots of different styles on it, and I like it's "non-stop" approach.

Zero 7 = Uber. Tried to buy the CD in Virgin the other day, couldn't find it, useless cunts.

The Strokes album is greatly over-rated. You don;t read NME by any chance do you?

My prediciton for best album of 2002 (with any luck) is the new Massive Attack album, due for release in spring. Altho if Mezzanine was anything to go by, it'll probably be out in 2005 :(

Lol

Nah I listen to anything, well anything bar Jazz, cos it's wank basically.

:D

Fave album of the last 12 months was Kylie's Fever, top choonage, with n'er a duffer on the album.

But most of the albums released in the last 12 months have been manufactured boy/girl band shite which I absolutely detest with a passion.

Music by Madge, when was it?

Otherwise I listen to either Dance/trance/ambient/heavy metal/rock etc...

Well, because I'm a musical heaten who only buys singles, I have to rate possibly the only album I heard all year, which was Daft Punk's.

Liked it loads.

No particular order:

Rammsteing - Mutter
Radiohead - Amnesiac
Aphex Twin - Drukqs
Mogwai - Rock Action

aye, Mogwai are good.
Ryan Adams is good too.

Gorillaz was good when I first heard it, but apart from Clint Eastwood, which remains very good, it just sounds like a mediocre Blur tribute band now.
