Wife is at her mums for the week. I just got a text from her, SOS! with a 5 sec audio clip, photo from front and back phone cameras and her location on google maps.

Absolutely shit myself. Played the audio, her saying "stupid fucking phone" ...

Rang her and she is fine. Did not even know such a function was a thing, that's brilliant.

Mah lovely new bike. Whose saddle shall be binned because it caused me 160 miles of pain. Rode it back over two days. Weighs bugger all, about 15kg (which for a bike with big tyres isn't a lot). Finish is excellent, welds look very nice. I need to add a few bits, like a USB charging port to the dynamo, and some bar ends for alternate hand positions.

Very pleased with it.

Our church has basically become a cheap coffee shop. More people go for a cup of tea and some old school home made cakes, made by the old biddies, on a Saturday than turn up on Sunday to praise Gandalf or whatever.

Dismantling a fireplace, built in cupboard unit and desk, so not so great! Builders start on Monday.

I had a joiner around to quote me for two new wood sash windows, double glazed. £7000 he quoted. I almost died. I've decided that I'm going to renovate the sashes myself, with ultra slim double glazed panels.

I just can't see where he got £7000 from. Sash windows aren't that complicated.
