LOL, just had to rewind the Olympics on BBC1 during a swimming semi-final. At the end of the race a British contestent finished 4th and the commentator just said "It's squeaky bum time". 10/10 to BBC1 commentary.

That's the "documentary" that publishes claims that he made before he lost a libel case in court. Those lies are what's going to see him locked up when he's dragged back to face the music. You might as well watch a documentary about the royal family, by David Icke.

He'll no doubt be fundraising for his legal fees again. I don't feel sorry for the people stupid enough to fall for it.

I wonder if the BBC has the ability to reclaim the wages he was paid while suspended.
Would like to know more detail here. The impression from the article is that it looks like he was sharing porn with a guy but he received images that were of kids. He appears to have challenged the guy not to send anything illegal and not kept the pictures, but as soon as you receive them you're guilty. So did he fap? Did he think they were kids? Did he dob the other man in if he thought they were kids?

Either way. It's pretty fucking horrid.

Were it not for him talking to teachers of the school I wouldn't have given it a second glance.

It's funny. Deaths in 20 n 30 mph zones have dropped by over half apparently (yes, it's a small dataset - but there's another dataset from insurance companies showing claims (so small bumps and shit) have dropped by about a quarter too.

It's absolutely more pleasant to walk about and town centres with main roads are much improved.

Importantly, after a period of adjustment where it felt really artificially slow it now feels completely normal. Journeys feel like they're the same length as they always were. I just don't think about it any more really.

Of course, some people will always rage about it. But the reduction in deaths alone make it a no-brainer for me. All the other stuff is just gravy.

I'm fine with strategically placed 20 mph zones, but utterly hate blanket 20 mpg plans, and where ever they enact them the pushback is considerable.

Most town centres should avoid having cars in them at all, others normally won't see speeds over 20 mph anyway.

Just so you understand there is a difference, it is 10 mph :p

Then the usual argument against such a reason to reduce deaths is why not lower it to 10 mph because surely it'll be even lower, people may also do less damage to the knobs who constantly believe that looking at their phone as they cross a road is wise.

I'm much more concerned with drivers looking at their phone while driving. When cycling, I see it a lot.
The good thing at 20mph is if the fuckers hit you then you're significantly less likely to be be seriously injured.

We've had a brick to the bollocks, now lets have a dog to the arse

What I'm watching there is a skinhead with a dog just itching to pile into people. The guy who got bit might have been being mouthy, but he hadn't actually done anything. Then, of course, the "standard" process took place - beat him repeatedly on bits of his body whilst he's on the floor to subdue him. But if I'd was being attacked by a dog I don't think I'd have the wearwithall to just lie complacently and obey instructions - I'd be pretty terrified.

Before you say he deserved it - he was clearly backing off. The dog moved forward, so he backed off more. Then skinhead set his dog on him.

Didn't need to do that. He may have been mouthy, but he was already intimidated.

(Will watch with sound later, see if it makes a difference to my opinion).

Cops were repeatedly telling him to get back and, no he wasn't until Rover bit him on the arse.

Was it over the top? Yeah, probably, but a bit like that cop in Manchester who'll probably lose his job for booting a muslim in the head while he was committing an assault, I'm done with both sides in this fight and don't really care what happens to them. All this shit attacking mosques is based on zero information, just straight up EDL lies, (as we have no idea whether the guy who killed those kids is Muslim or not, and he probably isn't), so all these mouth breathing fuckwits deserve everything they get, as mobs always do. Now, I have zero tolerance for Muslim fuckwittery as well, but only if it's based on truth.

Wasn't Hartlepool where they hanged a monkey because they thought it was a Frenchman? Nothing's changed then.
