In England/Wales it's a dead heat. Unless you think that we vote primarily by biggest area rather than largest population?

It's cheaper to buy houses and live/move about in shitty urban areas and therefore that's where labour support resides.

Four well educated voters on Breakfast tv today (bbc), pc aside, one in a wheelchair, one mixed race and balanced gender..(.possibly the couldn't find a transgender).
Anyway, unusually sensible opinions, all four wanted the campaigning to concentrate on issues outside of the economy.
Then when asked individually of their important issues, each answered with one based on money.

Yes and no. The economy drives everything. The amount they can put into the nhs and therefore the quality of the nhs. The strength of our currency for imports exports and tourism. What the cost of renewable power will be. Its all entwined. So to try and pick so ething thats not based on the economy is quite hard when you are put on the spot.

Every election I tell myself, maybe they'll all grow up and not all act like bell ends. Then I see another picture of Ed eating a sandwich stuck on the front pages of the papers, and it leave me completely disallussioned with politics.

I'm voting Labor tomorrow now, based more on the fact that anyone that eats a sausage in a bun with a knife and fork is a ducking bellend.

They are all a bunch of wankers.

They haven't a ice cube's chance in hell of getting more than their one precarious seat - despite getting a large number of votes. But none of the main parties have any green credentials so I figure as large a green vote as possible would show them that people actually give a shit about this stuff....

While I think the Green's heart is in the right place, I think they only have a limited grasp on reality. As ours is a safe Tory seat I will be spoiling my ballot.

You might not get it the way you want it, but at least you've given your opinion. And therefore you have the right to talk about politics until the next election. Personally, when I meet someone who doesn't vote, I don't bother waisting my time on them to talk politics.

People who doesn't vote are basically saying that democracy doesn't work

Disagree specifically with people's "right" to talk about their leaders.

If you refuse to talk to them then you're cuttinh yourself off from perfectly valid opinions and if you're a big believer that voting works then you're missing your opportunity to talk to people who you believe need to hear your viewpoint most...

I'm actually glad I'm not registered to vote in the UK anymore; I'd probably have to spoil my ballot. I don't trust the three main parties, loathe UKIP, and think the Greens are genuine morons (seriously, their manifesto is the most crack-addled garbage I've ever read). UK politics is badly broken.
