The amazing vanishing character

Go to log-on tonite and voila!! there is no character on the log-on screen.

Customer Support say it doesnt exist, so cant reinstate it.

All gone, no more me, was almost Master Musician

Ok, it just got silly, now both my characters have gone....even though the other was only a lowbie medic (no more than 2 hrs played) im concerned now that if i create another character he will also vanish....

This may be gods way of telling me to go to the pub

Did you delete any char ( not the chars you lost, any char in general ) ?

As they put a warning on the main website not to delete any char as it sometimes deletes a diff char than you tryed to delete.

But anyway, it still sucks BIG time, they MUST have some trace of your char, even if its just that they know it once existed. the old files arnt removed from there database for a long time they have said.

Really hope you get something sorted, i had been thinking SOE had been very good so far but this just knocked a huge chunk of respect i once had for them

Ouch I couldn't believe that when I read it, that really does suck. Keep on at SOE don't let it drop, demand they give you your character back, it's there fault it's gone so they can get it back.

From the feedback i have gotten from Customer Support (1 email) it seems that i must have deleted the first one myself..... which im sure i didnt do. Had no feedback on the second character as of yet (timezones and all that im guessing) not that im bothered about him.

Still hoping that its some kinda bug and they will magically reappear in my log-on screen, wont hold me breath tho.

UPDATE-

ok, posting this for anyone who finds themselves in the same boat as i am in.

If you do delete your character they CAN NOT restore it, they do not store such data for long enough.

What they can do is to reconstruct it using what data they can find and what data you send them.

This is a long and bloody annoying process and the new character looks like its going to be a pale imitation of the origional.

Plus they query almost everything to make sure you arent trying to cheat them, its like pulling teeth.
