Trooper was more fun to play than Sith warrior, but still having to wait through all those awfully boring dialogues is well... boring. Is there any way to skip them? Or get straight to the choices (often which are of no consequence, usually only the last in a chain gives dark or light points)

Press spacebar to skip dialogue. But the dialogue is a large part of the game's content. Please don't whine about lack of end-game content when you've skipped 70% of the game to get there. KK thanks.

I am NOT listening to the videos, dont want to ruin the story and see it with crappy gfx ... saving that side for the release.

I'd recommend listening to at least some of the dialogue to get an idea of how your chosen character talks. Not impressed with the Jedi consular male voice but the female smuggler voice was very impressive. I intend to play through each classes first 2-3 levels just to get an idea what they sound like.

I've sent feedback asking Bioware to introduce more voice options for the characters. I wanted to roll an older looking consular, but having him voiced by somebody who sounds like he is 17 and his voice just broke is a little disconcerting. Not game killing by any stretch, but not what I'd hoped for.

So angry

Anyways, the dialogue is completely inconsequential, it's just flavour to the game, and poorly written ones at that (the voice acting however is quite good). In the end, it's "roleplay" that is kinda half-assed and forced upon the players.

As in you + companion? Thought flaspoints were group content for 4

As in me + companion yes. My companion tanks/has a taunt I just kept it healed and helped dps :p I ordered the companion to move when bosses aoe'd that was pretty much it.

Going to try out some other sith classes now, Sorc is fun tho something just doesnt feel right about it.

The dialogue is great its actually good something mmos don't usually do, yes it doesn't have a massive consequence but it beats rolling your face over the keyboard to accept a quest.

Imo if you don't like the dialogue why bother with the game? Its a massive part.

lvl 7 on a bounty hunter now, the quests so far have been so much more enjoyable than the sith inquisitor quests.

Me too. Are they any good, or would I be better off making whatever other non jedi classes there are?

its just a shame that the BH/Imperial agent quests were alot more fun than the inquis :) ah well, they all goto the same place more or less after that start area so i'll just put up with the inquis quests until lvl 10.

I found the BH pathetically weak compared to the Inquisitor (in terms of leveling) :(

really? I found BH alot easier due to having heavy armour aswell as a companion that heals + self heals :p inquis only ever has light armour I think.

Having played a couple of levels on all classes and sex combinations it seems pretty clear that the Empire is English. And the Republic is American. Or at least the voice actors are. The male imperial agent was very annoying! The male consular was nearly as annoying and his backstory pretty lame. Wish we had more choice in voices and backgrounds.

I'm not one to be skipping the dialogue, particularly when it's the dialogue that makes the game unique. It's just that consular was my chosen class before release. Ah well, I guess that's why beta access is a good thing.

Hit 12 on Consular-Sorc and Smuggler - Scoundrel and going to stop now.

Will definitely be buying, had a blast.

Am I the only one who really enjoyed the Consular experience? Maybe its the fact I went with a chubby Twi'lek who spent the first 30 minutes running around in what appeared to be hot pants. Also, although at first I really didn't like the voice, it actually grew on me a lot and felt like it went really well with the character, especially when he was being particularly sarcy.

I went Jedi after leaving my BH and i will be playing Republic at release, found picking the darkside choices much more fun then being a Sith as you get that feeling as a Jedi going to the darkside.

Also the general chat was a lot more mature also so yeah Republic at release i think for me.

Ah never got that far, only got to level 5 and /wrist!

My inquisitor is level 13 and in pvp he gets raped. I can get 1500 crits on people, but melee classes can hit me for 2200 so I am lucky if I get 1 or 2 casts off first.

whats the healing class called, since I plyed my first pvp arena on my lvl10 sorc and was top on heals with 16k when it only does +200hp or so :p and hardky any others on the other teams had heals. But still sorc is fun and at 13 the heal trained up to 400-500 or so which isnt bad; + you have stuns and and stuff

Aye, both Bounty Hunter and Trooper (republic equiv) have heavy armour + heals + companion that has minor healing, quite nice tbh. Its just a shame so many russians are going to be bumming sith :/ I remember in aion there was nothing but russians all over the shop spamming global chat with russian none stop, so if they go sith i'm going jedi.

Don't russians usually congegrate on a select few unofficial russian servers? Just avoid those then?

Aye, as long as avoid the "russian" server then either side should be fine.

Ran Black Talon twice today. First time in a group and went well when people actually werent idiots. lol. People not looking what going on and pulling others or just not healing between fights. pfft. Got a saberstaff out of it which no use, but stripped it and upgraded my saber :D

After that I ran it solo with my companion. Once I got to grips with it I got through no problem. Companion in, stick one in the twister, heal companion constantly whilst killing when could. Was surprisingly fun to do it solo and to be fair it didnt take much longer then in a group. Had to use tactics in a couple of boss fights (including kiting after my companion died on one of them).

Was going to try a few other classes out, but with limited playtime i think I will jst stick to the sorc.

I'm a bit confused as with warrior as to when I pick an advanced class. I got to oblige 10 and got to the imperial fleet. I thought it happened there but the advanced class trainer ignores me.
