The lag is to bad and invisble players just make it impossible. Dont know what to suggest other than shuttting down fort takes till its fixed. If this keeps up I don't know how much longer peeps will continue to play.

We fought back from the brink of having a fort attacked and pushed dest all the way back to their fort only to be let down.

It might have something to do with the the 200+ order trying to cram into the Stairway to the Lords room.

As you all ready know Mythic has already said they will switch the Forts over to an instanced set up easing up server load :twak:

I'll add that the lag was no where near as bad as the last time this was attempted by the same number of order, in fact it was quite playable until the last min cram & aoe spam on the stair way.

Or it might have something to do with the lvl 13 destruction running around The Maw.

If quite playable is shooting a arrow/then getting killed/getting rezzed and then see the dmg from said arrow hit, you are right.

Mythic also said the game will be released when it's ready.

Can you link the source to that please, as personally I feel that would be the last nail in the coffin for this game. I couldn't think of anything worse for oRvR than instancing a keep.

Mark Jacobs should be utterly ashamed of himself.

yesterdays defence at the dwarf fortress was an absolute farce.

players on both sides fading in and out, 2 secs spells taking 20 secs to cast, jacobs - you owe us all 2 months subs for beta testing your unfinished game.

If true, it depends how it is implimented.

One instance per fort per server would mean that it was separated from oRvR lag and also potentially guarantee you had to be a certain level to get in.
All you need to do is give Order and Destruction different entry points and you've got a variation on the ML10 dungeon in DAoC, which was really quite fun.

I don't see the gain in multiple instances per fort per server.

Keeps and latency

Good day!

With the patch on Saturday, some measures were taken to improve stability, but there's certainly room for further improvements. This is a high priority issue and Mythic are working hard to fix it. Mark has made some statements (sorry for not linking) where he's saying that we'll see improvements implemented in 1.1, if not earlier.

Regarding instanced keep warfare; as far as I know this is currently nothing but rumours.

Cheers!
