Star Wars - Episodes II and VI

Okay heres my take.

In Episode VI, picture the fight scene with Luke and Vader and the Emperor snickering in the background taunting Luke to "give in" to all the evil. Then Luke severs Vader's hand, just like Vader did to him in Episode V, but, he notices that Vader already has a robot hand and grasps his own robot hand in recognition.

Now at this point I kind of deduced that Anakin-Vader had obviously gone through the same thing with the Emperor, his real hand had been severed as a kind of right of passage towards the dark side, in the same way as happened to Luke in Episode V, therefore realising this, Luke turns and refuses to fight further, not making the same mistake his father did and submitting to the dark side - hurrah !

Now in Episode II all this theory gets buggered up, because it is Dooku who severs Anakin-Vader's hand, well actually his entire arm, so all that "right of passage" crap I'd been thinking all those years was wrong, Episode II ends with Anakin-Vader's golden robot right arm clearly showing.

The only thing I can think of is that Anakin-Vader has now lost his right arm and continues to fight left handed, so then he can go through the "right of passage" stuff as per my theory, but I'm too lazy to check that he uses the sabre in his left hand in Episodes IV thru VI.

So, is it:

(a) not what I though it was.
(b) right-hand left-hand.
(c) Lucas buggering up the script.

? :)

how do you not know his "robot" hand is as functional as a human hand?

Vadar's right arm is fully functional as a normal one would be.

/except that he can't *really* feel Natalie Portman's firm supple breasts and erect hard nipples, or her juicy wet snatch like a real hand could.

Excuse me. Need to take a errrrr, shower. ;)

Dooku cuts Anakin's arm off. Anakin gets it replaced with a bionic one. Hence when Luke severs Vader's hand, it's robotic.

So where's the confusion exactly? Luke is just remembering his own hand getting cut off when he does Vader.

I think its more a case oh...shit, that could happen to me too, rather than a wright of passage.

Luke just sees himself as his father. This happens to us all (well men) eventually I'm just surprised it took so long.

Dont fancy Princess Leia (?) anymore, seen her Mother?

I stopped reading after Ono's comments. As far as I was concerned the thread had reached its zenith. No further discussion was necessary.

Ono, I doff my cap to ye..

Your thread sucked, cama and you know it. We hijacked it to prevent further damage to what remains of your credibility.

You should thank us.

Right, I'm taking lessons on "credibility" from someone whose idea of in-car entertainment is a set of Carmen rollers.

Well, fine. I'll leave you to your nerdy ways. I'll let you voice your low-level theories about Star Wars plots. You can analyse the psyche of fictional characters all you like. I won't stop you.

So, come on! "The Doctor Is: In" What's next, cama? ;)

I suggest getting out more. You'll be surprised how little you care about Star Wars.

Heres an interesting erection based true story

My mum works for 3 junior schools as a Home-School link worker, which basically means she finds out why kids are off school.

Whilst asking a parent why her child had been off school for a week the conversation turned to this womans husband.

Waking up to have a piss in the middle of the night this bloke realised he had a stonk-on and tryed to push his dick to an angle so he could pee (like we all do). Next thing he hears the almighty pop and starts having a fit on the floor.
Luckily his wife found him and rung an ambulance.
It turns out that when he pushed his dick down to take a piss he simultaneously broke all the tendons, all the muscles and his pee-tube all at the same time, he fitted on the floor through the pain and had to be rushed into surgery in order for it to be sewed together again.

This only happen to 10 people in england.
