Speech from Bush

Way to go Gengee... changing your opinion like a flag in a hurricane...

Uncle Sick, where did my opinion change ? I said Kyra had researched well, she did, she found articles to back up HER opinion. You found counter articles to back up YOUR opinion. MY opinion has not changed. Where would you rather live ?

Thornywtf, and Sick and the others who have said no connection is proven between Saddam and Al Quaeda, yes I agree. The Jordanian who was spotted and treated in Iraq is an irrelevance.
Again I have not shifted on this point.

Reasons for France germany and Russia not backing the immediate threar of War my OPINIONS are still the same France and Russia for the billions of dollars they are owed and Germany because of internal politics.

I will reiterate the point that I do not believe this war to be about Oil nor do I believe it to be about religion.

Lafala I do not have any more answers than anyone else here.

Again I will state clearly what I THINK.

There WILL be a military conflict in Iraq, there will be terror in the world as a direct result of it. In the end I believe we will look back on it and see it as the correct thing to do.

Later

And Attrox believing that the government controls the media in the western world is so passé. The market controls the media, and the marked demands horror, action and sex. People want to be scared every time the read the newspaper.

The media reports what they are told, the War are not on yet, the "evidence" are given by USA.
So the American Media dont have neutral facts, they have the facts given to them from the "Goverment".

Media are a very powerful tool, and beliveing that the Goverment would not take advatage of that tool are imo ignorant.

How about the Anthrax attacks in USA, didnt they trigger several attacks vs Al Quaida ?
The media spewd out headlines like "Bin Laden attacks USA with Anthrax!"
How did that story end ? What do you think leaked the info about the Anthrax ?
( Im not sure but did even Bush go out and gave statements about Al Quida's involvment in those events ? Im very unsure about it thou so dont hold that agains me. )

anyway, my thought about this whole thing,
I do agree that something needs to be done in the middle-east.
Something has to be done in Israel.
But I do not agree with USA's way of handleing things, imo they are abit to trigger-happy.
I dont wanna see any more innocent people's lifes be taken, be it from Saddam, be it from Bush.
A war should be the absolute last resort! and I dont think thats the case here.
I do belive the American Media is one sided, with storys being told by "iraqies", about soldiers cutting the power in hospitals, and later on the "main" vitness proved to be the daughter of the Iraq ambassador in USA.
thats just one example about the on-going War Propaganda in USA, and it's shipped over sea as well.

What I fear the most is that Iraq will be attacked and "converted" then left, just like Afghanistan where local "Warlords" controll and makes up their own law, or in Bosnia, you think the situation down there are stable ? think again.

How about North Korea ? they have just recently started a nuclearplant, with the capability to provide War Uranium, and on to days new here in Sweden they said that they "might concider attacking USA" and USA belives that they have atleast 2 Nuclear missiles that are ready, and that could reach Eastcost.
I dont see Bush rushing in there to "protect the world" where as they apperantly are a much greater threat. Last report I heard about USA reaction about that was that they wanned to negotiate.

All I want is that USA atleast try to find other ways to solve this situation and dont rush to arms to "protect the world from the Evil"

Im neither Pro or Anti American, I dont support what Usama or Saddam does, I dont support what the Palestinian bombers do to the Isrealians, I dont agree with the Isrealians and the occupation, I dont agree with USA supporting the Isrealians,
but most of all I do not agree with a war against Iraq.

anyway, me talking about it here wont help.

Edit: The so called "connection" proven from the speech from Usama, he said he supported the Iraqian people, he's Anti Saddam, as we all know;
My enemy's enemy, are my friend.

reading Kyra's posts make me genuinely worried about the state of the world :( sick and thor made all the right points.. IT IS better to deliberate, send more teams in, monitor, observe rather than war. War is an act of the scared republicans who thought Iraq would be a perfect target for their insecurity (i wont speculate on the Oil issue although the evidence seems compelling).

War with iraq will make more September 11ths, it will NOT control saddam hussain. It will make more hate against America which can only be a bad thing.

After seeing kyra's beliefs now i can see how a right wing monkey like bush can get in power.

Oh... just something to think about - if the US and their lap-dog Blair attack the Iraq without a U.N resolution, every little third world dictator in the world will rub his grubby hands in glee...

Who will need the U.N if no one, especially the world's only remaining super power, listens to them?
Think about India and Pakistan for example... they are at war since decades - and now they have nukes, too.

Anyone noticed just how many countries, violating human rights, quickly declared "we are hunting tewwowists"-Elmer Fudd style as soon as Bush declared his war against terrorism?

The world has become an even scarier place since Dubya came into power.

After WW1 in an attempt to make sure this didn't happen again the League of Nations set up. Sadly one country never really bought into it.

After WW2 the United Nations was set up. Sadly one country never really bought into it...

Hmmm a trend is developing, perhaps if we have another war we can see if really is a trend or merely coincidence.

My only worry is that President Bush has given up his "War on Terror" and instead is fighting a "War on Islam" playing right into Al Qaida's hand's.

I was waiting to see what weapons Bush would be using on the terrorists in Ireland, and the isrealis that do stuff "against the governments wishes", causing terror to palestinians, terrorists in south america and africa. Why this obsession with the middle east?
