Have to say I thought the acting was fantastic from everyone except Irulan. Oh well. Still the best piece of TV sci-fi I've seen in a long old time...

The story was ok too I guess
I hear the books get very symbolic after CoD, so I dunno how they're gonna translate that to the screen without it sucking oO or being interesting to the average Joe

Well, the film was.... dodgy, and that's coming from someone who loved the books.
Children of Dune was a lot less....... HI I'M DAVID LYNCH

no, I don't mean the David Lynch version.
Sci-Fi made a Dune one as well...
it was slightly slower paced (which is a good thing, Children of Dune was WAY to fast I think) but with far more focussed on the action, instead of the political battles, which is what makes Dune as great as it is...

They seemed to include lots of stuff from the books in the series, but then miss the whole point of it later :/
