Battlefield Earth at 6.99 is still a bit pricey for my liking. Maybe if they threw in free Butterkist popcorn for life then maybe just maybe I would consider it

A.I. was ridiculous..they should have ended it when the boy was frozen.

The teddy made the film for me.

As a film is the hitchhikers guide any good?

I thought the books were great but I am not certain whether the film will live up to that...

Is it a bit like Red Dwarf? With the same cheap fx etc?

Yes, its straight from the BBC Dr Who effects department.

The radio series, the books and the TV series are in fact quite different from each other, the radio series came first and I'd recommend this highly (available on CD), then came the first book which covered most of the radio series, the second book (Restaurant at the End of the Universe) which covered the rest of it and more, and had a different ending, then with Life Universe and Everything it extended the story, the fourth and fifth were really just further adventures, the TV series only covered the first and second books and in less detail than even the radio series, so it's the shortest of the three media versions.

Best part is that a lot of the actors were the originals from the radio series.

Absolutley spot on... well, I think they should have ended it when the machines find him.. and made it more obvious they were machines
