Just thought some might like to see how players get rezzed in FFXI - its all fluff, and actualy makes you want to die to see it again

Try giving a game more than a week. FFXI is amazing once your used to the controlls. Ask anyone thats stuck it for a week

looks really cool , doubt FFXI is an actual replacement for daoc as it hasnt got any PvP on it iirc? Which is main part of daoc imo (besides the few stories and the getting to 50).

The soundworld of that game, as always, kicks the butt of any mmorpg around...damn..there's actually like...sounds!

Though i would've waited for a 10 minute rez animation like the Final Fantasy genre should have

PvP gets added in 2004 (usefull for us NA/Euro players get to level up first)

I'lll always love DAOC, but the time came to move on, and theres no turning back once you've mastered the controlls of FFXI (there a bitch)

theres a small glith when the rezz animation is finished and the model gets back into place, tbh they should make it perfect if they brag so much about it

Gunna give FFXI a miss tbh. The games been live in japan for something like 2 years so I doubt there are many bugs but that means that you get forced onto a Japanese server with Japanese players who are probably gods by now. :/

I think I will be trying WoW like everyone else.

Will they add PvP to it or just a PvP server and the PvP will be something similar to DE/DAOC were you can still safely PvE or can you be forced to PvP like on PvP servers on DAOC?

PvP will be added to the existing servers, gives the SA/Euro people time to level first.

Its been 18 months and so what if you ar eon a server with high Japs - play on the server named Bismarck and youll see how many english speaking people are there now - kinda been adopted as the unofficial euro server now.

And lets say there are some VERY high level players - so what... that just doesnt affect you in any way, hey it even helps !!! you can pester them to help you with the quests, which we have done Its only a problem when PvP comes out - and if you cant level a toon by then, well maybe the games not for you.

PvP will be done in a way were you will have to agree to PvP before being able to get attacked? Like stepping in a zone or becoming some kind of PvP char for a while (as in DE becoming a criminal/trader/bountyhunter means you can PvP otherwise you cant and cant be attacked by players either).
