I really disagree with sports people getting honours. Andy murray gets paid loads to do what he enjoys doing. The althetes get a lot of tax payers and lottery money to do what they love to do.

They dont have to support themselves they just take money and live the life they want. And most happen to have a genetic pre disposition to be good at it.


Should be for the hospital cleaners and people who do the shit jobs for years that we dont want to do. On shit money.

If you think the Honours system has any merit at all, then it's perfectly reasonable for athletes to get them, as they are acknowledgement of effort and success in one's field. It's a bit silly to suggest that a bit of talent and some lotto money and you're good to go; you still have to work fucking hard and actually be successful; and while Andy Murray may have the personality of a yeast infection; he is actually the first genuinely successful British tennis player since wingwalking was popular

And it's a 50-50 split between men and women.

The really annoying thing is that it's difficult to buy SRAM spares and I can only find lever/caliper combos on sale, which means that I may have to spend double what's required to fix it. I bought The Division as a pressie to myself. That's not the annoying thing, Uplay is. What a steaming pile of turds that is. I'd forgotten since whenever I am forced to use it (FarCry, etc) I tune it to automatically go offline and not bother me. For The Division, it started and updated itself. Then I couldn't log in. Then I reset my password. Then I had to go online and log in. Then it wouldn't pick up the new game from Steam. Then I discovered that Ubisoft knows about this, and their official fix is "uninstall and reinstall Uplay PC", which boggles the mind but hey ho I did that.

Then it again didn't pick up the game. Sweet baby jebus
