are these illegal,forgive my ignorance.i want to play my games without keep putting my cd's in the drive all the time,would some nice peep like to tell me where i can get a no cd crack etc from,cheers.

You dont have to put the cd in for q3 silly person. Once its patched it will play without it. As I imagine you knew having played it recently ??? 
Or for any HL game, or sof2 mp, or rtcw. You DO need it however for Operation Flashpoint and BF1942.

Scooby - never has an avatar been more apt.
The CD check was removed with the 1.27 patch IIRC.
Oh and technically speaking No-CD patches are illegal.
