The Penguin started well. Probably recommended to watch The Batman beforehand but not obligatory.

Not new but managed to get the whole 5 seasons of the original Miami Vice on Blu-ray from America for just under £50, in the process of converting them now.

Sigh.

Another one we'll be binging. 30m into the first episode "This is the worst cooking show I've ever seen" -> 45m into the first episode: "Oooo I hope xyz" -- I want to see masterchef do this.

I binged Mr Inbetween | TVmaze

Such a good show - top 10 for me.
I was just thinking the other day I need to rewatch that. The Magician is worth watching as well if you don't know about it, a mockumentary-style film Scott Ryan made 20-odd years ago that introduced Ray. Much less polished (he basically made it himself to begin with) but that kind of suits the subject matter.

Binged watched Kaos the other day and absolutely loved it. Hope there's a season 2.
Really enjoyed Kaos. But no Season 2 apparently.

Story nicely wrapped up in one season tho, so I'm not too gutted.

I'm not sure what you mean by nicely wrapped up, the story was just begging. S1 was in part just setup for what was clearly meant to come next. The Netflix algorithm does this to so many good shows it almost feels like a gamble to start any of them.

I'm probably making it worse but I've stopped starting new shows unless I know it's already wrapped up, too many times left frustrated by things just hanging don't have time for that

This. We even cancelled Netflix last year because it's bullshit now. Weekly releases, split seasons, cancellation after cancellation. Barely even noticed that it's gone.

Currently working through The Affair on Paramount+, 5 full seasons, can double up of an episode has an interesting setup for the next one, etc.

Meh. I didn't need to see the fallout. The damage was done. For me, that was the end - anything else is what comes after tbh.

Yeah, would have been easy to write an S2. But I was satisfied enough.

Season 2 of Arcane starts tomorrow. It looks like it'll be airing as 3 "acts", each with 3 episodes, again.

Secret Level is worth an hour or two of your time. Some of it is pretty forgettable but the Pac-Man one, UT one and Arnie and Keanu eps are all interesting. They're all visually very good.

Been watching Lioness season 2. What a hot mess compared to season 1. Still not gonna stop watching.

Never heard of it. Started on love death and robots but the o/h wasn't fussed so we dropped it.

Will give it a go.

It's like an anthology of short stories based on various video game franchises. Some of them are close to the source material, some of them take extreme liberties, but I actually found those to be the most interesting. First half of the series dropped on Amazon last week.

Watched up to Ep6 last night. Was great - finishing it off tonight :)

I like the (I think?) addition of this is not a history lesson

I was frustrated at the end of season one when they got ambushed by the Germans, and it was a cold war era American tank, rather than an actual German tank. Like, come on! German WW2 tanks were boxes. You could paint plywood grey and it would look more realistic than an M60.

Yeah I knew it was this that happened in I was starting to wonder if it was something else.

I absolutely agree, it's one thing to say it's not a history lesson and then have a tank from the wrong era and the wrong side.
