Last Kingdom is great. Its based on the Bernard Cornwell books (guy who wrote Sharpe) and is basically Vikings from the opposite side. It started on BBC but I think Netflix took it over after season 2.

I believe he means he only watched the first episode of the new season because we've talked about season 2 being pap before.

Honestly my interest was piqued after the first couple of episodes but it's just more of what made season 2 so disappointing. It's like season 1 was the main event and everything since has been some lame spin off.

I'm 6 episodes in and I still don't know quite how I feel about it. Hugh's great tho.

Watched it but it's very "meh" because whilst Hugh is really good in it every episode is basically exactly the same. Plus it feels like it borrows far too much of Red Dwarf: Ship, check. Inept bunch of idiots, check. Trying to get back to earth, check.

Got bored, gave up.

Rick & Morty was was very well crafted but wasn't actually funny. Plus given they were able to throw in stuff about the pandemic it kind of shits on having all these long drawn out gaps in and between the seasons.
