i've got 520 songs on it atm, with 2gb still free. what more do you want? also the 10 and 20gb models are slightly larger iirc.

That Creative Zen one looks quite good. Recharging via the USB socket - I'm sold. I don't understand the attraction of iPods tho. Apart from looking deeply bland and generic Apple stuff, I never understood why they were supposed to be a quantum leap over other high capacity players like the Creative one with the hard disk.

Oh and they're made by Apple. Which is a good a reason as any not to buy one imo.

granted, these firewire ipods just lose out for speed to USB2, but they too recharge from the firewire port, very handy. battery life is ace too. had it on all the way to work, found some speakers to plug it into when i got there, on all day and also on the ride home. still goin

Ah, the only firewire port I possess is on my PS2. Which might be a bugger to get mp3's on. I could fit two on the memory card :/

i had a look in work(pc world. snigger) for a firewire card, they wanted 40 quid for a 2port belkin POS.

had a drive up to scan, 11 quid for 3 port dlink card. excellent.

Why did they put a FW port on the PS2 anyway?
