It was a very novel idea, but don't watch if it's not got your full attention or you're half asleep or something. It'll just get confusing and ruin the film

Very novel. Similar twist to Angel Heart (also something you should watch if you havent).

Good film.

I loved it. Like really really loved it.

Cheap on DVD now too.

*spoiler alert* don't read below if you haven't seen it...

Friend of mine muttered something about one of the DVD easter eggs being the ability to watch the film "normally" ie. not backwards/flashback. No idea if this is bollocks or not.

Fantastic idea, very well implemented, and Guy Pearce is once again well-cast and very good in his role (who'd have though, after Neighbours!).

Although, don't start watching it, get about halfway through, and then let your girlfriend come in to the room and ask you to "summarise" what happened so far. Trust me, these are the foundations that arguments are built on. :\

This is true but ruins the film entirely.

I would not recommend doing this at all

Whats the point in someone typing 'spoiler alert' and leaving a gap before they say something if someone else is going to quote what they put straight after?

It's true. Bad dysfunction!

Although, it wasn't that much of a spoiler in the first place, I'm sure xane/everybody knows the basic premise of the film. And besides, he had an imdb link to the film in his query, and there would be a houseload of spoilers in the User Comments part, if he chose to read them for background/opinions.

Sorry me bad.

But I didnt think know that particular fact would spoil the film...

This is correct, the person who recommended to me has the DVD and told me the basic plotline and about this egg.

my copy of the DVD mentions the easter egg in a round about way anyway.

without looking at it, says something like........hidden feature, the beginning of the end.

Excellent film. I should try watching it 'forwards' at some point.

Finally got around to watching this film on Sky last night. Truely excellent. Had me gripped all the way to the end (beginning?). Very recommended.

Glad you liked it!

I went and picked it up on DVD and watched it in chronological order thanks to the Easter Egg. Its still good but defeats the whole object.

Meet a woman you like, get to know her and sense whether she's attracted to you, take her out a few times and wash your balls beforehand.

*chuckles, considers telling Wij only if he lets me beat him at AoM*

heh good answer you bast :)

k, start the features/extras menu up with the spinning polaroid pictures. When the last of the polaroid pics is highlighted press play - simple. Might need a bit of timing for you though ;)
