i5 LAN Party Madness

Well it's barely 3 weeks to go now until the weekend of mass fragging and mass unhealthy socialising between gamers that is the i5 LAN party. Catering for over 750 gamers on a superfast switched network, and held in the plush Newbury racecourse, this event is set to be the best yet from Multiplay UK. Gameplay.com are major sponsors of the event alongside IBM.
i5 is a 4-day fest, runnning over the August bank holiday weekend (Fri 25th August until Mon 28th August). There'll be a veritable feast of tournaments running and the usual array of silverware will be up for grabs by new owners if the i4 champions can be defeated! Also the raffle will feature the usual shedload of prizes which everyone has a chance to win.

In case you're wondering what a LAN party is, it basically involves taking yourself and your PC to a venue with hundreds of like-minded gamers, to play games as they should be. On the superfast Local Area Network (LAN) at i5 you will have over 1000 times the bandwidth of a 56k modem, and a ping to dream of (<10 ms)! If that isn't enough for you then the opportunity to get together with clan m8s, friends and foes from the internet for a weekend of debauchery should do it!

There are still places left at the event, but as ever they're going quickly. Head over the Multiplay UK now to sign up and ensure you don't miss out!

Expensive??
£60 for 4 days??
Lets make a a sum: friday 9am to monday 6pm = 84 hours. £60 for 84 hours is 70 pence an hour for a weekend of gaming where pings are not an issue anymore. With Tournament prizes, a first class venue, Loads of entertainment like the Wizzo Boat race (TM) a Raffle with very good prizes (i4 had 2x AMD Processors and 4 Geforce DDR cards and loads more) a dedicated team of network g1mps to solve the network problems on your pc etc...
As you can see £60 aint that much if you see it in perspective..
