Looks like I'll be playing Mesmer at release. But not sure if its available at this test, if so, I'm going to try Guardian and Engineer probably.

servers are up 8pm (20:00) in the uk and 9pm (21:00) in the majority of the rest of europe.

We are trying to gather up some of the old community in "Ancient Reign" if you'd like in. Also trying to get in touch with other guilds to form up a alliance and make sure we end up on the same server!

I agree on this part.

The servers as a whole will be ranked, so our common goal is of-course to make our server the highest ranked as possible. And to do this we need a strong alliance made up by experienced PvP players! And DAoC is the game that is closest to what GW2 WvWvW is like now, so brining together such a community once more, will surely give us a head start on how to organize bigger alliance PvP raids.

If the game environment encourages the level of inter-guild cooperation and alliances that could be fostered back in DAoC (or even to a degree in WAR, and don't go apeshit yes I know that game was a bugfest but Mythic still got the team-cooperation thing more-or-less right), I'll buy GW2 just for that alone. I'll be more informed after this weekend as to whether Arenanet are going to get some of my hard-earned.

it was a pre-purchase m8, there were some beta keys sent out to people who applied earlier in the year and some keys were given out at different games conventions, in short pre-purchase=all beta weekend events (one per month till release) and a 3 day headstart, pre-order no beta weekend access and 1 day headstart.
