im doing a talk on it tomorrow at uni. Anyone seen it or anything and have any wee "insider" info i can throw in?

Yes! I was working for one of the contractors when it was being built. I can tell you that to save money, steel was not used for the internal structure. Instead we enticed small orphaned children into the ruts, saying that some tasty treets had fallen in. We packed them down and the density gave (almost) the strength needed to support the bridge.

i started to be interested when you said steel wasn't used. but then i realised you were kidding :p


p.s the bridge uses 850 tonnes of steel thats enough for 64 double decker bus's or 16 cheiftan tanks

I can type with capitals at the start of my sentances.

It doesn't make my eyes bleed when I read text, and helps to distinguish between sentances.

Thanks for the advice :) Im just used to Word making the letters after a fullstop capital :p
