Dunno if it´s worth the extra money, no experience with this one. Looks pretty much like the MX 500 to me.
I´d stay away from Saitek though. Too many cheap producion lines for my tastes.
A friend of mine got the new Razer btw... it´s different from the old versions, pretty light and nice to handle. If my MX500 ever goes to the other side, that´s gonna be my next mouse.

Generally: about the I won´t spend more than X for a mouse...
Call me a mouse fetishist, but for me, it´s one of the most important parts of the PC, simply because it´s always in use and needs to work 100% exact all the time. Nothing´s more annoying than a slightly defect mouse. So if you want to save money, that´s not the part where I would save it. Buying a high quality product really pays off in the long run there. My MX500 is about 2 years old now... and still working fine.

i bought the logitec wireless keyboard and mouse
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=72757

but i want a wired mouse for gaming (no matter what people say wireless is not as good as wired if you play alot of games you notice the difference).
I personally believe £50 for a mouse is overkill (what razor charge) for what you get.

never had any problems with logitec previously, i think ill go with the 510 with double the dpi of a normal mosue i think its a good buy :)

I bought MX518 to replace my wireless mouse (MX1000) - MX518 ended up serving my bot-comp, I found MX1000 much better. Both are very good though

Microsoft Intellimouse Optical for the win... very high precision, very fast reaction speed, works on all surfaces (clear glass and plain black included) and what I favor the most it's very comfortable in ur hand.
And if you really need something with super high dpi, then go for MS Intellimouse Explorer ;-) (but that's bit expensive for no gain imo)

actually
Microsoft mice are the most prone to breaking, least responsive and generally pretty much crappy all round.
we only use them at work cus they are cheap when u mass buy

I can't complain on mine, I tried Logitech mouse, but it was very uncomfortable in hand so I got rid of it.

Been using Logitech mice for the past years, bought the MX510 a few months ago and before that I had a MX500.

I've never been fond of wireless mice, always had the odd feeling that it weren't as precise as a wired one.

I would recommend the MX510 to everyone I know, it's a kickass mouse and it fits nicely into the hand. Almost as well as... err

Been using my Logitech MX700 mouse the last 2 years or so only complain I got about it is that the colour is starting to fade, else its one of the best buys I have ever done for my computer. And even though its cordless it got very nice response times - another nice thing with logitech is that they come with 5 years warranty.

Hmm... Ive had my MS intellimouse explore 3.0 for more than 3years - before I changed it for the new version of it a few months back - only changed it because I wanted it in black tbh, no problems with it what so ever. I like it and it really is the only mouse for me. If I should ever think about a new one it would be the HABU(ms+razor work). Seems like a good one aswell imo.

So take a look at the HABU mouse... (love old threads)

Razer Copperhead or Razer Deathadder :p

I have used copperhead for a while and love it. personally I've never been fond of mouses that have weird shapes to try and fit into a hand, so copperhead is perfect for me :)

But its a really tricky question, some mice that are loved by some people are hated by others. It's a lot of personal preference. On the other hand, can never go wrong with a Logitech :)

And i think Copperhead has problems with fast games (like quake etc) due to being laser instead of optical, so then i would suggest Diamondback or Deathadder :p

If i would buy a new mouse today, i would definitely go with Deathadder

I used a Logitech mx500 for about a yeah and loved it and the extra fully programmable buttons so when the 510 came out I got that - seems the same but think it has higher sensitivity but an awesome mouse imo :)

Recently got a Razer DeathAdder and I quite like it.

Google for reviews to see if it's any good for what you need!
